The Spice Tailor - Indian Curry Sauce Meal Kit, Delicate Korma Curry, Pack of 5, Vegetarian

As a student I lived with a keen cook, we both loved curries and soon began to build a coillection of spices and indian cookbooks, we fed all our housemates 2 0r 3 times a week and even managed to upset some neighbours with the exotic smells emanating from our house. That was the early 1990's and since then i have not lived with enougth curry enthusiasts to keep that tradition alive. I still make the odd curry for myself but Pataks, Sharwoods etc, sauces never really managed to recreate the wonder of authentic Indian cuisine. And then i tried this and was overwhelmed by the smell and the flavour, an authentic curry making experience without the cost and space required to build an extensive spice collection.. Based on my memories of the 1990's i decided this would be best made with large chunks of chicken breast, at stage two i added lots of sultanas and a few sliced almonds. On completion I would also recommend 1 tablespoon of single cream per serving. Hope to try some of the other sauces in this range. Want to buy shares in this company because they have totally nailed it. Thanks to amazon for keeping the price quite low at £12.50 for 5, still dearer than using jars but it really is on another level when it comes to taste.

One of the best ready mixes I have tasted

As fairly traditional curry mixes go, Spice Tailor is pretty good. We had the Fiery Goan Curry with lamb yesterday. There is also a very similar product available with a different brand name. Even with these Amazon discounts, these are pricey. Tesco, Morrisons, Lidl have them much cheaper and often on special offer for even less.

Very good product which produces Indian meals to Indian restaurant quality with very little effort. The korma variant is rather bland as you might expect. These are readily discounted by the main supermarkets, but not seen them any cheaper than here on Amazon

These are really good authentic sauces

Absolutely amazing. You can have an authentic curry dish on the table in 15 minutes. Best left for a few hours to intensify the flavour, but they're OUTSTANDING. So simple to use, too. Try combining a curry pack (goan fiery or Punjabi tomato) with one of Dahl packs. Amazing result.
