Excellent quality product

I purchased this Optimus Prime figure from the Transformers R.E.D. line as a holiday gift for my 5 year old son. At first, it seemed like a good balance between quality and price—well-detailed and visually appealing. However, after just a few weeks of play, it has not held up well. The figure now shows considerable wear and has lost much of its ability to hold a pose, which is disappointing for a toy designed to represent such an iconic character. While it might make a decent display piece for collectors, it doesn't seem durable enough for a young child who wants to actively play with it. Keep this in mind if you're considering it for a similar purpose.

I really wanted to like this figure. I even watched some YouTube reviews on it, which didn’t get much feedback. He does look good. But Hasbro failed I think with this line. The most obvious thing is the plastic. He feels really cheap. I have Bumble Bee also and he’s the same. But he’s also big! Like they made Bee as tall as Optimus. They should’ve scaled them according. And it’s not like the wanted to make sure we got our money’s worth and made them the same size. Hasbro does it all the time with their other lines, selling small less articulated figures for the same price as a normal figure. But I digress. He’s cool enough, but I wouldn’t pay full price. I should’ve just picked em up when I saw him at Ross for like $10. So I don’t recommend this figure, or any from Hasbro’s RED series, unless you’re a hardcore Transformers collector.

Product that was delivered was used where as the description said it was new. First of all whenever a new action figure is bought is it sealed from all ends. The packaging for this was open at the bottom. Also optimus has scratches on his arms and also on his legs which indicates the action figure was out of the packing. Really disappointed with this.

Decent for the price. lots of articulation, but the legs and hip join is a bit loose. worth it for G1 Optimus Prime fans
