Is this for men or women?

I think it is for both. BUT they have a great smelling Banana Republic men's cologne.

I see 2 different prices for the same formulation & size "banana republic classic 4.2 oz eau de toilette - why???

The only difference I can see is that one appears to be offered through Prime and the other may be through another seller. That seller may be including the shipping cost. And then there is the price difference for men versus women. However, customer service might be able to answer your question. If the formulation is the same, I would select the lower price one.

The scent is the same, and so is the packaging, and presentation. If it's not authentic, they did a pretty excellent job at imitating it. The fragrance is just what you expect it to be.
