Don't waste your money
Had a number of them not work after taking them out of the packet or used them for a day or so and were then not working. Very disappointed

Certes le prix est très raisonnable mais l'aiguille est excessivement mobile. Lorsque nous orientons la boussole dans une direction et que nous ne bougeons plus, l'aiguille met du temps à se stabiliser. Je regrette cet achat.

This is an accurate, well made compass. I have owned compasses for 50 years and teach map and compass and bush navigation. I was looking for new compasses for an upcoming class and decided to try this one. I put this compass through the wringer over the course of one weekend and was impressed more than I could have imagined. Very easy to read bearing at index line. Housing turns easily but not too easily. Baseplate seems to be made of same plastic and quality as any $100 compass. Accuracy was spot on. Not a negative but just so you know there is no declination scale inside the housing like a typical Silva would have. For declination adjustments either subtract or add the correction to the existing bearing or azmuith and move on. No marking for back bearing but that’s not a biggie either. Needle stabilizes very quickly and is obviously liquid dampened. Lanyard is crap so toss it out. I will be buying many more of these for teaching. Manufacturer seems to have put in a line at about the 10 degree mark as a visual reminder to correct for declination (either east or west). A thin straight line shows up on each one of these compasses. Does not effect use in any way and is purely cosmetic. For daytime use only. No glow in the dark marking’s. Just so you know, I own thousands of dollars worth of compasses and have the true “dirt time” to know better. This is a very good compass as far as I can tell. Only time will show if it develops a bubble which does not go away.
