Great book, lovely illustrations, clear guides per lesson with illustrated steps. My biggest bonus was that even brainstorming was covered. Great for beginners. I'm excited to learn the techniques through their application as detailed.

Amo este libro. Tened muy en cuenta antes de comprarlo que está en inglés. Es un inglés bastante entendible, pero es necesario tener, al menos, unos conocimientos básicos del idioma. Las imágenes son preciosas y en alta resolución y te explican paso a paso cómo usar Procreate, de lo más sencillo a lo más complejo. Está súper bien, y además puedes realizar algunos de los proyectos de tus artistas favoritos, pues los explican paso a paso.

Vorab: ich habe seit Weihnachten ein iPad und nutze es vor allem zum Zeichnen mit Procreate. Allerdings habe ich bisher ziemlich planlos gezeichnet, ohne richtig zu wissen, was das Programm kann. Der Beginner's Guide ist für mich optimal, um die ganzen Zusatzoptionen, die Procreate mir bietet, zu nutzen. Es gibt dazu sicher auch einige YouTube-Videos, aber ich lerne am liebsten mit einem Buch. Das klappt hiermit hervorragend und ich habe schon einige neue Kniffe für meine digitalen Bilder erlernt. Es geht hier natürlich nicht unbedingt um den besseren Zeichenskill als solches, sondern um das Beherrschen der digitalen Technik. Besonders an dem Buch begeistert mich: - es ist durchweg farbig gestaltet und enthält sehr viele verschiedene bunte Beispiele - sehr anschaulich - viele, viele Bilder verdeutlichen die Beschreibungen - angenehmes Format (fast Din A4 und eher wie ein dickes Heft, flexibel) Das Buch teilt sich grob in zwei Hauptteile: bis S. 66 geht es um "Getting started" und die Basic-Funktionen. Ab S. 72 gibt es dann rund 100 Seiten "Projects". Die Projects sind Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitungen für komplette digitale Bilder, bei denen man dann einiges unter Anleitung ausprobieren kann, was vorher bei den Basics Thema war. Es sind acht verschiedene Projekte (Illustration, Character design, Fantasy landscape, Fantasy creature, Traditional media, Spaceship, Plein air, Sci-fi-creatures), jedes von einem anderen Künstler. So ist für jeden Geschmack was dabei und man schaut auch über den Tellerrand. Allerdings sind die meisten eher "comic-artig". Bei jedem Projekt stehen die "Lernziele" dabei, man lernt also zum Beispiel bei "Plein air": how to edit a standard brush, use layer blend methods, use clipping masks, use Alpha Lock und Paint in masks. Ich bin noch bei den "Basics", aber freue mich schon auf einige Projekte. Ich denke, wenn man das Buch "durcharbeitet" hat man eine sehr gute Basis. Der Preis von derzeit 18 Euro ist mehr als fair für so ein umfangreiches Buch. Gute bis sehr gute Englisch-Kenntnisse sollte man definitiv mitbringen. Anders als bei manchen Zeichnen-Büchern reicht hier das Bilder-anschauen und "Nachmachen" aufgrund der technischen Details nicht aus. Für jeden Procreate-Beginner definitiv eine tolle Empfehlung. Inwiefern Fortgeschrittene daraus noch lernen können, weiß ich nicht. Vermute aber, dass es schon noch einige Kniffe vermitteln kann.

Compré el Libro ya sabiendo ocupar todas las herramientas y trucos de procreate, mi interés es el ver los procesos de los profesionales que ocupan este software, y para nada me ha dejado decepcionado, ver el paso a paso de varios profesionales en este software me ha sido super util, cosas que ya sabia y muchas otras que no en cuanto al proceso. Realmente no duden en comprar cualquier libro de esta editorial, de las 4 compras que les he hecho ninguna me ha decepcionado. P.D. Si eres totalmente nuevo en procreate, este libro te servirá aun mas, te muestra paso a paso todas las funciones y atajos de procreate que yo fui aprendiendo entre picar a lo loco y ver demasiados videos.
