RUSK Thickr Thickening Mousse Foam 8.8 Fl Oz

I have fine, thin, chin-length hair. I have tried everything for body, volume, or curl. This mousse does work! I have never had curly hair unless I got a perm. I can use this on my hair (Long layers) and take a diffuser to it....boom!! Curls!! And my hair feels thicker! I've never found anything that would do that. This is my new favorite. And it smells good, too!

I was introduced to these products by a friend who let me try her Aveda hair thickener. It was surprising to me that it really worked; one egg sized amount of the foam throughout my hair produced a thickening that increased the volume after blow drying my hair. The unbelievable part is that it lasted for a good four days with just a light touch with damp hands to freshen it up. The hair was not sticky or dull, it retained it shine and softness to the touch and did not leave an aroma behind. Since the Aveda was not very economical I decided to try the Rusk brand which was half the price and contained more product. I would grade Aveda with 5 stars because it has stronger hold but the Rusk is a close second, just needs a little more product to get close to the Aveda. If you got the bucks go for the Aveda otherwise you will do quite well with the Rusk.

I love this mouse! I have very fine hair. A lot of products weight down my hair instead of giving it volume. Rusk works great! If you have fine hair I highly recommend it.

Volume: I rarely write reviews however I had to for this wonderful product. I have very fine hair and it is not very thick and I have spent years buying volumizing products. I've had a few that worked a little, many that did not work at all and I was in the mood to try again for something else and I bought this and I just can't believe it. My hair looks noticeably thicker and it keeps the body for a couple days which absolutely never happens to me and it has made the texture of my hair very soft but not too soft to make it flat and much shinier than it normally is. I like this so much I want to buy a whole bunch of them because I'm afraid now that I found it it will be discontinued!! Products obviously work differently on different people but for me this was terrific.

I am not blessed with good hair. I am grateful for the little bit I do have, but that little bit is dwindling as I get older. And, it is very fine. I've tried so many products over the years, all with exciting promises of body, fullness, thickness. Most provide some extra oomph, certainly better than just letting it do its natural limp thing. A lot do sorta make it, I guess, a litle thicker...more like a waxy coating actually. But this stuff...WOW. My first time, I shampooed/conditioned as usual (Living Proof Full) and then spread an egg-size blob of this mousse in my short hair. I knew when I started blowdrying, this was different than the others. Some how, some way, this mousse made my hair feel thicker and with a light bounce. Not weighed down, not gunky at all. I think it was even a little shiny. And it seemed to take a curl better too. It's bedtime now, and my hair still looks perky and feels clean. I am amazed, and so pleased. I know different products seem to work differently on different people, but for my fellow wispy-haired friends, I highly recommend giving this a try!

I tried this product after Kendra Platinum thickening mousse price increased. Well, I am giving you my opinion after using the product once, and I was not impressed. It’s like you when a product works and when it doesn’t and this one for me didn’t work for me but might work for other people. Honestly I got way more thickness with Kendra Platinum, not so much with Rusk, I think I am going to return it and go back Kendra Platinum Edition thickening mousse.

Good value. A little goes a long way, doesn't leave sticky residue. Scent isn't overwhelming.

This product is excellent. My hair are fine and when I use this product my hair appears different and thicker. I like all Rusk products for their quality.

Best mousse for fine hair. Store stopped stocking it. So happy I found it on Amazon so ordered two.
