**Q: How do you change the batteries?**
A: To add to my last answer regarding the batteries, they are definitely replaceable, all of them taking 3 LR44 batteries, but it's not a quick and easy task. I have purchased a total of 16 of these eggs over a period of 4 years and when attempting to replace the batteries, I discovered that the older and the newer eggs come apart very differently. Some have more screws than others and parts go back in different places. So it was somewhat like putting a puzzle together and it took me taking a couple of each of them apart to figure it out. After the first couple, it definitely went quicker. You'll need a precision screwdriver set for this. It sounds like a lot of work, but these eggs are super cute and all 3 of my kids have loved them, so having to do this once after 4 years was no big deal to me.

**Q: are these eggs motion activated**
A: I don't think so.  They just sit where they were placed and call out to be found until turned off.  Have even used these at Easter egg hunts in addition to the plastic eggs.  My granddaughter usually hosts a hunt for her pre-school and early elementary classes every year.  Kids are delighted over being able to find them and place them again for repeated fun.  Highly recommend. Well worth the cost.
