Can you use this for non pass through connectors?

I used the answers to this question to make my purchase and was misled to believe that this tool will crimp non-PassThru standard RJ-45 connectors and well as PassThru connectors. To prevent anyone else from being misled I’m posting answer to this question. This tool is not compatible with standard non pass through RJ-45 connectors. I am using a standard connector in the video I posted. The trim blade rubs hard against the connector then it becomes obstructed by the connector preventing a proper crimp. The instructions that come with this tool also say this tool is only meant for PassThru connectors. Forcing the tool to crimp a non-PassThru connector may work but at the cost of shaving off some of the plastic on the connector and dulling the trim blade, shortening its life.

What's the key difference between the $20 (226-107) crimper and the $45 (226-110) crimper?

To me it looks like the 107 doesn't do the pass through connectors. 
It is smaller in size that the 110 model it might fit your pocket better than the 110.
But since I only use the pass through connectors the 107 wouldn't work for me.

Question 3

Do you have to use the Klein pass thru connectors or will these work with any pass thru RJ45 connector?

Good question! Some buyer have tried the C5 and C6 non-pass thru Mod Plugs, but now are using Klein's Pass-Thru™  connectors.  If cost is issue, the Klein Pass-Thru™ Clear Mod Plug, now comes in a 200 Pack - VDV826-763.

Will these crimpers work with other vendors ez connectors / pass through rj45 connectors.  example (platinum tools ez-rj45 cat6 connectors)

My personal experience - I bought these connectors:  https://amzn.to/2FWDmpL "RJ45 CAT6 Passthrough Connectors (50 PCS),Gold Plated 3 Micron 3u, High Performance 3 Prong Pins (CAT6/50 PCS)" - they seem to work ok.  However, although the cable works fine my tester says it has a short.  Not sure if it has to do with the connectors, the cable (cat5), or the tester being finicky.  But the cable does work.
