Excellent mink oil! Conditions leather and makes it waterproof!
This is great quality mink oil. I put it on my leather boots to condition the leather and make it waterproof. It repels water quite well. It keeps my leather boots from drying and cracking. It darkened the leather a little bit and actually made it look better. I completely coated the first boot with a thick layer of this mink oil and let it soak in while I applied it to the other boot. Removing the laces first is very important. After applying it to the second boot, I went back to the first and wiped off the excess and it was perfectly conditioned. Then I repeated the wiping/polishing process for the 2nd boot. It soaked in quickly. Afterwards, I put the laces back in and the boots look perfect and they are waterproof and soft. I will be using this mink oil on my next pair of leather boots. It works well and lasts a long time, and if you love your leather, you will condition it with mink oil or it will dry out and crack eventually. This was a great price for such a high quality mink oil, and a little goes a long way. I highly recommend this Mink oil.

Does the Trick!
Good stuff, nourishes all sorts of leather. Also used it in a pinch to add finish / seal up some wooden pieces. Smells nice. A little bit goes a long way.

Still the Best for Leather Shoes
Rode horses growing up and we used Fiebings brand for a lot of things. This stuff is still great for conditioning and waterproofing leather, it takes very little to do the job, the smell is mild and not offensive and boots/shoes of all types with smooth leather look shiny and new with no polishing. I'll continue to use until/if they ever stop making it. It does not leave a residue but not recommended to use on leather clothing.

A little bit goes a long way
I was hoping that the 6 0z. container would contain enough product to treat a pair of Men's size 12 medium height work boots. Six ounces doesn't sound like much but once I began working on the first boot and realized how much coverage a small amount treated I knew I would have plenty to do the pair. I should note that these were new unworn boots. Once I had treated the above mentioned pair and saw how nice they turned out, I thought, "Well I have barely touched the contents of the Mink Oil's 6 ounces", so I drug several pair of older, well worn, and dried out leather boots and went to work on them. THIS PRODUCT TOOK TO DRY LEATHER LIKE A DUCK TO WATER! Beautiful absorption and coverage on a thirty year old pair of DANNER high top hunting boots brought the boots back to "NEW CONDITION"! I am extremely pleased with the results! AND, the MINK OIL container is still almost full! Next in line are my motorcycle boots and I anticipate wonderful results from the MINK OIL on them as well. Then I will treat my WOLVERINE and SOREL hunting boots. Once all my boots are done I will treat several pair of leather gloves before I treat my leather holsters and gun cases. THIS STUFF WORKS ON ANY SMOOTH LEATHER! AND once all these products are treated I am sure I will have used less than 3 ounces of the 6 ounces from the container! I am using an old "Medium" bristle toothbrush to work the product into the seams and stitching as directed as well as a circular motion on larger areas. IT WORKS PERFECTLY! After the product dries overnight I simply buff the surfaces with a soft cloth and the results are beautiful! AND My leather items are now impervious to water and snow! THis stuff is well worth the price and the 6 ounces will last a long time for future uses. BUY IT!

High quality product.
The product is great. Made my new boots look awesome. Only issue is the lid arrived cracked. Perhaps better shipping material may solve this issue.

Best leather preservative
For all my boots. Tried saddle soap, seats foot oil etc. This mink oil is by far better, easier to apply and after setting my boots in direct sunlight 84 degrees the absorption was fast. I applied a second coat following the first the next day and the results are better than expected.

Pretty good stuff.
With the demise of Kiwi this is the best substitute you'll find.

Seems to work well!
I don't know if you can actually tell by the pictures, but my boots look a lot better after using this stuff. In the outside picture, I coated one boot (right) with the oil and used the other (left) as the control. Picture 2, inside on the tile, is the finished product. Application wasn't really fun but I could feel the leather soaking up the oil as I worked it in all over them. Since I've never treated my boots before, I guess they were a little thirsty :) It glided on easily enough. I didn't really know what else to use for application so I just used my fingers. I'm extremely sensitive to all smells and I anticipated this smelling awful and triggering migraines/nausea so I took my project outside. Thankfully, it didn't make me sick, but I hate the smell all the same. I will probably let them cure in the garage tonight. As an aside, this stuff really attracts mosquitoes. I was fending for my life out there! If I do this again I'll have to figure out another way to do so in a well-ventilated area that is away from bugs. Maybe I'll wait for winter, when the bugs are back in hell where they belong. The finished product looks much richer than they used to. I'm glad I got this stuff! I only used about a quarter of the oil overall, and I was VERY liberal with my application. It looked like I had covered my boots in shortening. However, it wipes off well enough after you get the hang of it, and now they're happy boots again!
