The sensor will have ~1 second hold off time after the state is changed. During the hold off time, the switch keeps the current state and sensor won't do any detection until either the hold off time is passed or your hand moves away. If the hold off time is passed but your hand is still on the sensor, the switch will toggle its state again.* So how about if something keep staying on the sensor?
