Review: Quality Solid Lug Nuts, Far Superior To The Fake Chrome Capped OEM Nuts On My '02 Dakota - I got new tires on my 2002 Dakota 6 months ago. While waiting, the installer came into the waiting room and showed me 3 totally rusted lugs that the fake chrome covering had fallen off of. Until then, I didn't give a thought that they were not solid chrome plated lug nuts. I was disapointed that Dodge would use these junk lugs nuts just to to save a little money. He advised me that they had solid chrome plated luds, at $6.00 each. Not knowing any better, I paid the $6.00 each. Afterwards on desertcart I typed in 'chrome lug nuts' for my Dakota and these came up. I ordered this set of 24. Upon delivery I was very pleased with the excellent quality. And at the price at $1.00 each, a great buy. They are now securely on my truck, and look much better than the originals. A: We call our black plating a satin finish, in the middle of matte and gloss. Our upgraded finishes pass extended corrosion tests and will look great for years with normal cleaning with soap and water to remove brake dust and road salt.

**Q: Can I use an impact wrench with these lug nuts? How much torque can they take?**
A: Impact wrenches are no problem for hardened steel and our plating! Just don't overdo it, this isn't Nascar. Turn the power down, use a socket designed for lug nuts, and torque to the OEM spec with a torque wrench. That's the right way to do it.

I was needing to replace my old worn 2 piece lug nuts with caps and found these. They didn’t disappoint. They were delivered two days sooner than the estimated time. Substantial lug nuts with a one piece design. I Installed them, threaded by hand with ease and took an impact gun with no problems. I was hesitant about the black finish but they’re just as nice after as when I took them out of their packaging. And the packaging and presentation was nice, even if just for a set of lug nuts. I’m tempted to order a second set just to have them. If they’re listed in the specs you need and you’re on the fence about these, just buy them. If anything changes down the road I’ll update this review then
