This is perfect for beginners and intermediate players. My wife and I just started playing and had a cheap checker board/chess/backgammon board and found we wanted to step up to something nice without going too expensive. This hit the mark perfectly for us. Very nice size and substantial checker weight. We ordered it yesterday and it was delivered today. We played a couple of matches and we are very happy with this. It was a great price and appears to be well made. It came with all of the necessary instructions and dice. Nice safe bottom that won't scratch the dining room table. We are very happy with this product.

This is a great set. We used to play years ago and decided to give it a try again. It was easy to relearn.

This is a mid-range board, good quality. Came with basic instructions. The dice provided are very small and light-weight and don't have a good hand or rolling feel. I purchased normal sized dice. Construction is good, with a felt board and vinyl points and two rolling cups. Faux leather case.

Perfect set for the person who doesn’t have space to leave out or for travel. It’s attractive and reasonable in price. Recommend

Very well built, and fun to play

This is my first review of a product that I've bought on Amazon. I would have given it four and a half Stars but was unable to. I just received the board and overall quality I would say is very good and I purchased the largest size that was available from this gaming company which was a large 18". The latches that hold the case closed appear to be sufficient but as I've said I just received the board. When I first opened the case I noticed two glaring issues. Two of the board point tips were bent backwards, secondly a couple of the point had extra threads sticking out from under them from being sewn on to the base which I had to trim with scissors. My third issue is that the playing dice were packed improperly. The board comes with two self-locking bags one is supposed to have your playing pieces and then one is supposed to have your spares. My playing piece package had two brown playing dice and two doubling dice and only one white playing dice. When I opened up my spare package it had one brown and one one white checker piece one white and one brown dice with two more doubling dice. I had to use the one white dice out of that package so I would have enough dice to play the game I don't have a backup now. As far as the gaming chip/checker pieces go they were spot on 15 pieces a piece. As far as backgammon boards go I would never buy anything less than a large even though it was basically $65 out the door with no freight "Prime Member". On the large the checker piece size is ideal for adults. If somehow I lost this board I would definitely buy it again from this game maker. Made in China so...

This is a beautiful backgammon set. I like that fact that everything is contained in an attractive case which can be stored or carried to any location. It was exactly as advertised.
