Dental hygienist grade
Donโt expect a lot of minty flavor from this, but do expect it to be effective and not too pricey. I use it as a way to help my gum disease from getting worse due to buildup of tartar and plaque. I use this in conjunction with a tooth polisher device that is similar to the one a dentist uses. Itโs very effective. Itโs gets all the schmutz from below the gum and with regular use in combination with good oral hygiene itโs helped with preventing tooth decay. Itโs got a funny texture if you arenโt aware that itโs a dental hygiene product, and not for fresh breath. Itโs just as easy to use as toothpaste and the color is similar to a forest green, but itโs a bit different in every one.

Brighter Smile....
Purchased a few times for myself and other members of my family. Does remove some tartar/plaque. Just be careful not to use often so you do not damage your enamel of your teeth. This will make your teeth brighter. Different flavors indicates different coarseness. Start off slow and easy. I sometimes add to my regular toothpaste using regular toothbrush and only once a month front and back of teeth. I use a toothbrush and not a polisher cause I found that there is better control with using a toothbrush opposed to using a polisher tool. This is just MY personal preference. This should not replace your regular dental prophy checkups.

Effective and worth the money
This is what I was looking for (dentist office granulated polishing paste) and is priced what I think it should be. There's a lot of overpriced kinds out there. This one isn't overly abrasive but I wouldn't recommend doing it more than once or twice a month. Do not apply water while polishing. I feel like my teeth are both smoother and slightly whiter. I'll buy this again.

Good, but don't expect dramatic whitening.
The texture was very weird- very, very dry, almost crumbly. Had a difficult time getting it on my Spinbrush. It kinds makes your mouth a little green, but the coloring did not last. I wIsh it had a texture more like toothpaste. Taste was reasonable. (I guess I expected a much stronger mint flavor.) It did make the back of my front teeth much cleaner and smoother. Got rid of a lot of the tartar around the gumline. Did NOT whiten my teeth, or at least not so that I would notice it. I'll stick with Crest Whitestrips or bleaching toothpaste to get my teeth whiter. But overall, made my teeth feel cleaner. Very bad packaging. I questioned if it was from a legitimate company. Arrived in a small plastic bag with no information. No brand name, no company name, no ingredient list. It really looked like something a drug dealer would sell in the back of an alley.

Does the Job!
I love the way my teeth feel when I leave the dentist office, and I've been trying to up my dental hygiene game (having your first-ever cavity at age 42 will do that to you!). I've been experimenting with a variety of toothpastes, flosses and the WaterPik, and then I stumbled across these while browsing through dental hygiene things. It looked just like the little cups my hygienist used, so I figured if I did this once a month or so, that would be a great way to keep things ultra-clean. The little cups arrived in pristine condition, packed in a tiny bag. I ordered the mint-flavored X-Coarse grit. Heeding some of the earlier reviews, I used a toothpick and a bit of water to mix up what was in the cup, creating more of a gel-like consistency that could be easily scooped onto my brush. Though I do have an electric toothbrush (and will use that next time!) this time I just wanted to use the manual brush to get a better feel for how it works, how it feels on my teeth, and places that might need a bit more attention. It went on the brush just fine. I was very pleasantly surprised by the grit - not too much, not too little, but just like what my hygienist uses. I used the brush in circular motions all over my teeth, paying close attention to the areas between the teeth. The taste was very nice. I used half the cup, then rinsed out my mouth, then went over it again with the other half of the cup. I finished up with a swirl of mouthwash to help ensure all the grit was gone. I LOVE the way my teeth feel after using this. They are slick and clean, fresh-feeling, just like they should be. I noticed that it whitened my teeth just a little bit almost immediately, which is a nice bonus, so I can imagine it would work well on stains. I found that I had to be a little careful around the gumline at the front, as it was really sensitive to the grit, but by taking care and going slowly with the toothbrush, that shouldn't be a problem in the future. However, if you do have really sensitive gums or teeth, perhaps a lighter grit would be a better choice. Needless to say, I'm pleased. I'm thinking about using this once a month, so that's a little over a year of treatments for less than ten bucks - not bad! I will definitely order more when I run out.

Hmmm, noticed no difference, hard as a rock out of container
I had to dig with my finger to get half of it out onto my electric toothbrush. I even tried running the tiny tub under hot water to soften. Did not. Not sure of any whitening quality, as I saw none. I agree with another reviewer - using baking soda with toothpaste would work just as well. A novelty and I should have known better. Would not purchase again. Perhaps my teeth are not stained, as there was literally no difference at all, other than my teeth turned green while brushing! Smile??!! Taste was fine. Wished it was more gritty. There is no way this is going to harm your teeth or gums. And I have an electric toothbrush to use with it. Oh well. Live and learn. All the tub packets are the same, there is no difference in grit factor. One could get two uses out of each tub.

Good cleaning!
It works nicely at removing teeth stains. Each piece lasts me for about two uses. It can be a little hard to transfer from its little pot to the toothbrush but itโs ok. If you have a round electrical brush it feels like having a cleaning session at the dentist! I like the flavour too! Will repurchase.
