Dorman 926-188 Engine Oil Pressure Sensor Compatible with Select Models

Works for 2013 dodge charger PO5 engine code i got for bad oil pressure sensor. Since i had to remove most of the top end of motor to get to it i just replaced the leaking OIL COOLER as well with all aluminum Dorman oil cooler. Fitment on both was perfect. Your engine code wont reset till after you drive vehicle for 60 miles unless you reset it at Auto store like O'Reillys. Dont forget to use thread sealant to ensure no leaks bc its a Real pain to redo

Replaced a failed OEM on 2015 JKU. Installation is a pain as the upper and lower intakes have to be removed.

Grate price! Hard to install/torque down. Taking out old broke one was easy (Connector wouldn't come off) but resistance installing and I backed it off to make sure lined up threads. No leak with plumbers tape.

Oil pressure sensor gauge warning light came on with oil pressure all over the place. Installed this new one and completed in 20 minutes. Oil pressure is stable and is sending correct info to the computer. So far so good.

2014 Town & Country was showing 96 psi oil pressure and check engine light. Installed this Dorman 926-188 oil pressure switch and indicated pressure returned to the mid 50's. No more check engine light! 1-1/16" deep thinwall socket worked. Impact socket is too thick to slide over the switch.

Great part, fit well. Install was an absolute pain, but not the suppliers fault. Very happy that my check engine light is off.

Works okay, but very difficult to change.

This sensor was purchased for a 2014 Grand caravan to fix a "P0523 - Engine oil pressure sensor/switch circuit high input" error code. A special thin walled deep socket is needed to remove the old sensor and install this Dorman replacement. The space is tight but can be done with a 6" ratchet extension. This switch is a direct fit for OEM and the thread is treated with thread seal to prevent leaking. There are several YouTube videos showing the exact steps. The check engine light was cleared and have not returned after 200km. This new sensor returns idle and load oil pressure numbers in line with expected values. There are many sensors available for 1/3 the price but I had one such sensor which came preinstalled on an upgraded aluminum oil cooler which failed after just 1.5yrs of use.

It fixed my engine light coming on issue. Was relatively easy to remove the old one, but very challenging to install. Such a small area to get hand into and get sensor in position.
