This is a must have if you're on a low sodium diet.
I'm on a low sodium diet and this is one of the best products I've found as a salt replacement. Adds great depth of flavor to Asian sauces, various types of soups, and tuna or chicken salad. So glad I found this!!

must like fish sauce to appreciate this
I ordered this to use in a chicken stir fry recipe and I have never used it before. It has a very strong fish sauce smell and flavor. I was taken aback by it at first. It does provide a rich flavor but the fish smell is strong. t's a mixed bag for me.

Different than expected.
I love BBQ. Was watching a youtube video and the guy said this was his secret ingredient so I thought I'd give it a try. My first impression was its awful. Doesn't taste a thing like normal BBQ sauce. It's got an oily slightly fishy taste. So I decided to give it a second try and added a spoonful to a bowl of Ramen noodles. Amazing! Now I won't eat ramen noodles without the stuff.

Great service/product/supplierer.
Awesome for making sauces with it. Great as is and easily doctors up other sauces. Delivery was on time and will be buying again when we need another one.

Don't get fooled like I did, not the regular size product
Don't get fooled like I did, this is not the standard size product, but more of a sample size (see photo) making it very bad value.

Great for hotpots
I used to live in Taiwan and this was a staple for hotpot’s and stir frys. I live in a small town and while the closest Asian store is only 1 town away, it is not always stocked so I was really pleased to find it on Amazon. It elevates hot pot meals as a dipping sauce. It’s also great as a stir fry sauce. It is a little expensive for the amount though.

Not an “American” BBQ Sauce
Itt doesn’t taste like an American “barbecue” sauce, it’s a bit like an Asian crab paste or shrimp paste. I think the product description could be better. I purchased two cans on two different dates and they both had dents in the side. I would use this again.

Ingredienti: 65% soybean oil, dried lizard fish, garlic, shallots, sesame, chili powder, coconut powder, ginger, salt, pepper. Come salsa barbecue, non sono molto contento del sapore...bleh!

This stuff is so good. I just wish it wasn't so expensive, for such a small container. I use it to make chicken teriyaki, like the kind on a stick you get from takeout. Mix it into a marinade, and let my chicken sit overnight. It tastes just like the ones you'd get in the restaurant. Amazing. Thats all I have to say.

Truly tasty and easy to use - I researched it first and expected it to be great and it was. Lovely flavour, not too strong and not chili hot. Felt more like Malaysian food than Chinese and then I found it was invented in Malaysia!!
