So I saw some bad reviews on this and was skeptical, but upon receiving mine I was happy. It has a nice round sturdy base, it’s nice and heavy enough to hold the lamp up with ease. The neck turns super smoothly in many directions. You can also spin the plastic that covers the bulb which I think is helpful. The box says new and improved and that is is. Definitely recommend even for the price. It doesn’t come with a bulb as stated. So yo will have to purchase one. I ordered both things together and got here at the same time

After reading many positives and negatives about the lamp I was on edge about purchasing it but I am 100% satisfied with it! Light any floor lamp it can be unsteady if not placed in a proper position. I have it angled just right for my Amazon and I have never seen him so happy during the winter months and If he is happy the home is happy!!!!! As we all know our feathered family can be come very loud but not my baby he is sitting pretty perched as high as he can enjoying his new lamp!!!! Great product for any bird lover!!!! I also read some reviews about how it helped their bird to not pluck which mine some times tends to do during the changes of the seasons and I have notice he has not pulled a feather out since we got his lamp!!!

Wow this lamp is far better than the older model, hands down! I received mine today, very fast shipping. This newerror model is sturdy with a heavy base. It's very easy to put together and it doesn't at all feel like it's going to fall over like the previous model that I had to rig with tape and string (no joke). My African Grey immediately loved it. I moved 8 months ago and he hasnt had his light for this length of time. He's 10 now, and has had full spectrum for those 10 years. He was never a plucker and had beautiful feathers. It's taken a toll on his feathers not having his light--they lost their shine and he started plucking his legs and chest. I'm hoping this will do the trick. Major Pro to this lamp is its high enough for my tall cage so that I can put it directly above according to the recommended 12 to 18 inches. I'm very happy with it, and time will tell with his feathers and plucking situation.

The product is great and customer support from the importer is great. QC at factory is not that high so check the product carefully on getting it. Mine was threaded wrong, male to male etc and the replacement base was scratched. Getting a replacement was extremely quick no hassles and I was able to get a properly threaded product and us we d the original unscratched base to get a 100% good product. The company and Amazon provider do work with you so no problem on those ends, they will get you to a great end product. Don't forget to order the bulb.

To those who wrote bad reviews concerning this product not being able to hold its own weight of the light bulb. This is truly unfounded, as anyone with any minor mechanical know how to read instructions, each articulation point has a little knob that you tighten in order to lock the arm into position. That way the light bulb will not pull the unit out of position. If one reads the directions, then one gains this knowledge. Also, a quick inspection of the whole unit by those of us that have a greater understanding of basic stuff like this will grasp this concept with greater speed. I have had nothing but success with this light. It has been adjusted it into many different positions with great success. While the other reviews are correct, the upper portion of this lamp is plastic, it does its job very well and is aesthetically pleasing in most decor. My plants, conures and cockatoos all agree too that this is a great product. Coupled with an outlet timer, this works even better. I set my timer to turn it on just after sunrise and turn off around 8pm. This works great, as it gives maximum UV light time to all my animals and plants in the bird room. I will be getting another unit real soon to put in the main living space where the birds spend a lot of time on the weekends, so I don't have to continuously move the lamp from room to room. One must be keenly aware however. this unit DOES NOT come with a bulb. You will have to purchase this separately, and can in some cases cost just as much as the lamp itself so beware. Aside from the added nuisance of the bulb, this is a five star product and will gladly recommend this lamp to anyone looking for such a product.

I had tried a few things, over the counter then I took Merlin my Scarlet Macaw to my avian vet. We went over all the possibilities and considered Lupron but he said let's try these other things first. He gave me an anti itch spray, anti fungal and antibiotic to mix in his water. He also recommended more fresh fruits and veggies and as an afterthought discussed lighting. I tried the other things without noting much improvement in two week period. I ordered the floor lamp and the recommended bulb and started using it. He improved immediately. I noticed an improved appetite and vigor then after a few days feathers started popping out everywhere. He was scared of the light at first (he has a huge metal cage made as indoor or outdoor aviary like commercial hotels use) he was moving away from it. Now he moves toward it several times a day. He is much more vocal again and playful. I am very happy with the ease of putting it together and it was ready to use in about 5 minutes. My parrot is almost back to his full feather gorgeous scarlet colors. I like the flexibility in the neck so that I am able to point it correctly because as I said he has a huge cage and I did not want to point it in his eyes but to get the most coverage possible without him grabbing it. I will post a photo soon, uploaded too many at the moment.

Loved it for my finches kind of tucked away

Had to put on an end table to have the light at a safe minimum distance from my birds' cage, otherwise very well made. When assembling there may seem to be too much cable, but you can pull it through the bottom carefully

Il prodotto è ben fatto solo che le immagini mostrano il modello con bracci di regolazione fissi (tipo lampada da ufficio) invece mi è stata spedito il modello con braccio in tubo regolabile (quello tipo tubo doccia). Nonostante questo il prodotto è ben fatto e ben rifinito. Facile il montaggio dei pezzi che si avvitano tra loro costituiti da base e 3 bacchette (2 fisse e 1 in tubo con plafoniera). Me la aspettavo solamente un pochino più alta. Con la gabbia che possiedo e con lampadina nuova che deve stare a 50 cm per le prime 2 settimane, ho dovuto mettere la lampada su supporto altrimenti era troppo bassa.

The lamp probably works just fine, but it came scratched and I think it’s too expensive a product to receive with damages. Then I would have rather bought a second hand lamp.

Good light great stand. Taller than I expected. That’s good though. Very hefty feeling.

My parrot loves this she sits for ages. I live in a flat now so no longer put her outside. It's very good. You have to buy the bulb separately tho. I leave it on for a few hours but not if I am going out..
