What is the height of the peep hole for the rear sight from the top of the rail?

Not sure, but I've used it with an F marked fixed front sight if that's why you're asking.

The sight measures 1 3/8" from top rail to peep hole. Works fine with standard M4 sight post. all metal construction. nice sight for the money.

Can someone explain to me how iam going to be on target with out an elevation adjustment?

As we say back in the Marines, adapt and overcome! And you can use the front site post to adjust your elevation with half turn or fool turn at a time until you reach your target at 100,200,300 yards and so on.
