(And stay away from my BBQ pit!)I love how this product is made by the Good Folks down in Covington, Louisiana. I will happily support a product Made in America by real hardworking Americans like myself. To me that is not just a huge bonus, it is exactly why I chose to buy this product and support Grill Beast. Big A+ to them on this part.The packaging was superb. Some reviews mentioned bent skewers but mine were packaged so well they were practically bulletproof so no clue how they could bend shipping. The shipping was super quick.It also came with a little booklet with some good advice and an ebook with recipes. Need to check the ebook out but the booklet was something useful to keep around, it had pretty good general info.I love everything about this product except I wish the handles were bigger. You do need to use a glove, rag or oven mitten to grab these off the grill so if that is a big turn off for you then these are not what you are looking for. I also wish they were a little bit longer but I could see the shortness being more convenient for some folks grills. But for the price just around 8 bucks I cannot complain at all, or subtract any stars from the rating. If you want skewers like these that are longer with bigger handles that you don't need gloves for then you would have to pay twice as much.The ends are already pretty sharp out of package and Grill Beast was nice enough to include tips for all the skewers. Good for safety and making sure they don't go dull. I will sharpen the ends some more to make it easier to pierce through meat and veggies.I can't wait to figure out all the new things I can grill with these. And a lot these will make a lot of the things I already grill easier to flip and grill both sides evenly. I like the flat blades much better than the round ones that I have used in the past and the tips are sharp. My primary reason for purchasing skewers was to grill vegetables buy I tried some shrimp and was pleased with the results. I had no problem piercing the shrimp with the skewer and the cleanup was easy. Good skewer for the money. ### ⭐⭐⭐ NOT MADE IN USA—No mention of steel quality *by M***P on April 21, 2020* NOT MADE IN THE USA—The company is based out of New Orleans, but these are made in China.Another review made me think that these were made in USA, and that is not the case. That also makes me question the review that said these were 430 stainless steel—Grill Beast has not said what they are made of besides “High Quality Stainless Steel.” Great. Your high quality could be totally different than my high quality.Given the price I paid of $11, I suppose I should have expected chinese-made 300 grade steel.I went to the website for the eBook full of recipes—It no longer exists.The skewers seem fine for what they are, I just wish Grill Beast would be more transparent so consumers could make a more informed decision.
