The bluetooth can be finicky to get it to connect at first, but aside from that, it works great! No issues otherwise. It is superrr tight on the port though, can be difficult to remove. It works with plenty of cars other than bmw's too - bimmercode etc doesnt, but this has it's own app, obdlink connect, that allows usage and code reading from plenty of other cars. Works for our honda and toyotas. I highly recommend, esp for the price and universal support, as well as the major functionality boosts for bmw's and supras.

Works amazing for bimmer code and the app included with the scanner is really cool too. Had no issues with connectivity, really easy to use, overall a very high quality product.

If you own a BMW and plan on using BimmerCode or BimmerLink, this is hands down the adapter to get. Setup took less than a minute, ust plug it in, pair with my phone, and it connected instantly. The connection is solid and way faster than the cheap adapters I’ve tried before. I’ve used it for coding (disabling auto start/stop, tweaking welcome lights, adding digital speed readout) and for diagnostics like clearing fault codes and monitoring live data. It’s quick, reliable, and BimmerCode even makes a backup in case you want to roll back to factory settings. I also love that it goes into low-power mode when the car is off, so you can safely leave it plugged in. The reliability, speed, and compatibility make it worth every penny.

This OBDII Adapter works pretty well, and does the job for my G01 BMW X3 M40i. - There are a couple status lights (Power, Bluetooth) on the device. - You need to install their App (iPhone or Android) from the App store. My only comment is that even though the car provides enough power to this device when the vehicle is running (Start button hit, and car running) when using it's own App, when in Accessory Mode (3 taps on the Start button, and car not running) it will not connect (using it's own App). This is odd. But it is possible that Android Carplay had something to do with this. While this might not seem like a big deal, the problem comes when using the Bimmerlink App in combination with this device. Because Bimmerlink App requires the car to be in Accessory mode (not running) in order to work (with most of it's menu features). I really had to experiment with Bimmerlink settings in order to get it to attach. And it did eventually work, even though it was only good for changing some settings within the BMW (Auto Start, Stop, etc). However Bimmerlink did NOT want to register my new Battery the other day, and I actually had to Start the car in order for this to work. The Bottom line is that this Adapter (while expensive) is very good it is also a bit finicky. The Bimmerlink App is not good at all.

The product comes with a free obdlink software that allows you to create gauges to monitor your car. It’s very versatile. Connection to the obdlink cx is easy and quick. To code your car, you will need the BimmerCode(paid version). The free version only allows u to read, but not amend the code. Coding is quite simple. It auto creates backup for u. For Mini Cooper, can disable active sound, enable sports mode on engine start, disable auto start stop, enable air con circulation to last use memory & auto fold side mirrors on key lock and comfort access(pressing the lock button on door handle for 2secs). And so much more

Works very well with Bimmercode and Bimmerlink apps and iPhone. I used to struggle earlier with WiFi adapters where the connection quality was bad. This bluetooth adapter has very stable connection.

I am using it with BimmerCode and BimmerLink for an X3 G01. The connection process is very smooth, I have nothing to complain about.
