GIVI 3D600 Easylock Saddlebags

Great bags. Just small enough to look good on my Guzzi V7 but expandable for short road trips.

Three years went by and the zipper fell apart.... Contacted the manufacturer and GIVI told me that the warranty is only for 24 months. So, if you are willing to pay over $400 for a set of saddle bags that will last you only 3 years, then this is an option to consider. In the future I will try to avoid zippers when shopping for new saddle bags

I have been using these bags for almost two years and so far so good, I just had one incident when one of the bags felt from the bracket because a pin from the lock was getting lose from the lock, I fixed this by pushing it back and adding super glue, i did the some to both boxes, maybe because of this one zipper is torn, I was hoping these bags will last more than this but at this point i'm trying to decide if buy the same bags again or if i can find something better and more long lasting

Habe für die Tracer nach einer stimmigen Gepäcklösung gesucht und bin für kleines Geld in Italien fündig gewordenen. War in wenigen Tagen da. Die Köfferchen von Givi passen bestens dazu. Preis Leistung bisher hervorragend. Optisch ansprechend. Absolut empfehlenswert.

These, of course, need the appropriate GIVI bracket for your bike (see my review elsewhere; other reviews are available). The case is fairly strong - sure, it's not as tough as the official Kawasaki part, but then it's about a quarter of the price!. You get two of these (one left, one right) and they share the same key, which makes things easier. The key is used to lock the pannier to the bike bracket, and usefully, you can't remove the key unless the bracket is locked. Two keys in each pannier, so you'll have three spares at home (to lose...). The panniers expand, although in their normal config, on an ER6N, they make your bike 90cm wide. Which is about 5-10cm wider than my mirrors, so you can still duck 'n' dive through traffic. Expanded? I don't know, but I'd expect if you expand both sides, you'll be adding another 15-20cm total width. Not had a chance to try an overnight trip yet, but initial tests in the bedroom (bear with me...) show I can get a pair or shoes, jeans, washbag, couple of shirts, iPad and a fair bit more inside. Oh, and a couple of pairs of clean pants as well. You can lock the zippers closed, using a small padlock (not supplied, unfortunately, and I keep missing the cheap ones on ebay) although you could argue that you'd be better leaving them unlocked: they aren't tough enough to resist a sharp blade into them, so if you left them unlocked, you may have lost your clothes, but you won't have to buy new panniers... I'd recommend these: much cheaper than the official ones, light, and easy to store when you take them off.

The quality of these bags is excellent. Used them on a 4000km trip and they were very useful, easy to remove and re-attach. Was able to fit a surprising amount of clothing (shirts, socks, underwear, rain suit, riding pants and jacket liner) for 6 days of travelling. Did not have to use expansion zippers although they did come in handy when I had to stop and dig an item out and have to stuff everything back in. They are still small enough to look sleek on my Diavel. The rain covers will trap some water when riding in the rain so take care to flip the bottom of the rain cover when stopped. The support frame is a bit finicky to install but is very well designed nonetheless.

Borse molto solide e ben fatte, complete di copertura di protezione che ho sfruttato al primo utilizzo...e devo dire che hanno funzionato al meglio. Le borse nn sono molto ingombranti d conseguenza esteticamente nn sono male, anzi! Ho fatto una settimana d ferie in due persone e la capienza è stata sufficiente, considerando che avevo anche il bauletto...rigorosamente GIVI, una garanzia!
