Nice selection of fabric strips. Love the colors.

An easy way to build your scrap fabric stash!
I've been quilting for over 40 years and have amassed a LARGE fabric stash. Truly I have no business buying more fabric. I couldn't resist these scrap bags, though, because they helped update my stash for the scrap quilts I make. They have different kinds of scrap bags & I found that helpful when I ordered. Great options, colorways, sizes, and price. It's a great way to build a scrap stash if you don't have one, or roll into your stash if you already have it.

if you love scrappy quilts, you'll love these.
Bought the two pack, because why not? One came with 24 2.5" jelly roll strips. The other came with 34 selvedge edges between 2" and 3 " wide. Both were patterns, no solids. Two completely different lines in terms of color. If you look at the picture, one was peaches and pinks, the other blues and teals. I might just make a scrappy strip tube quilt mixing them both together.

Make sure you like narrow strips
I have gotten these from a few different places. This time the Seller was Craft Bunch, and the shipping was by Amazon. You receive 2 bags. In my experience, a bag tends to be either 1. cuts along either selvage edge that are what’s left from the company making precuts, or 2. width of fabric 2.5 inch strips that are from a jelly roll that has been miscut. In my photos, you can see that this time I got one of each of these options. Each bag is sealed with a Moda sticker that is then taped over, probably to prevent peeking. When you open the bag, there should be a roll of fabric strips held together with a rubber band. These strips can vary in width a great deal in the selvage cuts. (Keep in mind that selvage strips will shrink in width whereas jelly roll strips tend to shrink in length.) The strips may be all one fabric line or multiple lines in one bag. In my second bag, I got Picnic Pop and Wild Meadow. You can clearly see that in each one there is a strip that was mangled by the machine. Aside from when that happens, the narrowest strip I have ended up with after removing selvages is 1.5 inches. One of my pictures is of squares I made with those narrowest pieces. Sometimes, when you receive a miscut strip it is because of a fold. I have received a machine mangled strip with a fold that gave me a 5 inch section of fabric because of the fold. That is the widest strip I have seen. The bottom line is this: These bags are narrow strips. They are a surprise. They may be cut off grain or require removing selvages. If you don’t like the sound of any of that, this may not be for you. On the other hand, I absolutely love them. They are a fun surprise. They are a discount off of a retail jelly roll. They are enough for a small project, or you can buy yardage to make something bigger. The variety of contents makes me use my creativity. I like using these for a small project if I’m working on something else that’s dragging and I need a break. You can turn these into coordinated “leaders and enders” while sewing another project. If I want something perfect, I’ll buy a jelly roll on clearance.

Not useable!
Terrible! One roll had almost every strip with a large selvage. This is not usable in quilting. The other roll had over half the strips with the selvege. Totally useless and a big disappointment.

Don't know if I would purchase again
Both bags were about the same fabrics... thought they would be totally different. Moda is a good quality, just thought they would mix it up

For Experienced Quilters Only
If you - Have only made one quilt or are starting your first quilt, Plan a quilt and then go look for fabric for it, Have a drawer in your dresser that holds all of your fabric, Make a quilt and throw away all of your leftover pieces, Have "A" sewing machine, Then this product is not for you. You will most likely be greatly disappointed with what you get. If you - Work on multiple quilts at the same time, Buy fabric because "I'm sure I'll use it someday", Own more sewing machines than pairs of shoes, Measure the amount of fabric that you have by the number of tubs/pieces-of-furniture that it fills up, Make six quilts and then make a scrap quilt out of all of the leftover pieces, Save all of your batting trimmings, then sew them together for another quilt, Then this product is made for you. These bags are SCRAPS! Sometimes they are miss-cut jelly rolls, sometimes they are the leftover selvage edges from layer cakes and charm squares, and sometimes they are just random pieces put together and cut into 2.5" strips. You have no say or idea as to what you may get. Sometimes they are boring solids and sometimes they are lines that haven't even been released yet. These are always strips and are always high-quality Moda fabric. No matter the selvage, they are always usable pieces, one way or another. I've bought over 100 of these bags. Some of the fabric is definitely not to my taste, but that's why I made the quilt shown in the attached picture.

Good selections overall and good sizes
I ordered 2 of these and they both came with a large number of strips that were at least 2 1/2 inches once I rimmed off the selvage (there were only a few that didn't meet that cut). One was a nice set of flowers and the other was all Christmas. They are soft and high quality just as expected. I know these can be hit or miss, but for me these were a hit.
