Does it fully fit into provided bag?! (In the pictures it looks like it’s sticking out)

mine all fit perfectly in their carry bags, nothing sticking out at all.....one of the best gismos i have bought for a while

How deep are the little hooks? I've had one before and my computer bounces in the hooks because it's too wide for them. Is this secure?

I have got a 17” older laptop in and there’s a bit of spring in them so trying to use laptop keyboard would be an issue. Plus on the other side I’ve a 13” Chromebook. They’re a little lightweight but do the job for me. If I try and pick laptop and stand up to move it then it may disengage.

Which one is the metal stand. White or black?

what do the specifications say for this particular one; i have bought 4 of these separately, two in aluminium and two in plastic; all of them do the job just fine, and fold down to a slim, light size to put into your laptop bag when you travel. I hope that helps.

Is it suitable for holding a phone as well?

When the stand is open it is, potentially (dependant on the size of your phone) too wide. With the stand not fully opened wide it would probably take a phone, however, It would be overkill as the stand is large enough to take a full laptop.
