Excellent Performance and Smooth Roaming
I have been a satisfied user of TP-Link products, and the TP-Link AC1750 Wireless Access Point has once again impressed me with its outstanding performance and reliability. As a previous owner of the EAP 245, I decided to keep using these Wi-Fi 5 models, and I am delighted with my decision. Firstly, I must note that I received the EAP 265HD v1 version instead of the v2, but it still exceeded my expectations. Setting up the access point was a breeze, thanks to the seamless provisioning and adoption process through the Omada software controller. The controller's analytics feature has proven to be valuable, providing me with useful insights into my network's performance. One of the standout features of this access point is its ability to facilitate smooth multi-AP roaming. I have multiple access points installed in my home, and I have not experienced any noticeable disruptions or drop-offs when moving between different areas. The transition is seamless, allowing me to enjoy uninterrupted connectivity on all my devices. In terms of speed, this access point has consistently delivered impressive results. Even when located approximately 10 meters away with some obstructions in the way, I have achieved speeds consistently exceeding 500Mbps, with a mere 5ms ping. This level of performance is particularly remarkable considering my gigabit fiber-backed network. Overall, I am thoroughly satisfied with the TP-Link AC1750 Wireless Access Point. It has proven to be a reliable and high-performing device, surpassing my expectations. The seamless roaming, easy setup through the Omada software controller, and impressive speed capabilities make this access point an excellent choice for anyone seeking a reliable and robust wireless network solution. I highly recommend it.

Easy to set up and a reliable service.
Using 3 of these to create a small business WiFi network along with a TP-Link PoE+ switch and OC200 controller. Very easy to set up. Plenty of control and management options and a strong signal from each of them. Better made and designed than typical home WiFi equipment.

Easy to setup and good but not great coverage
I bought this for my 4 bed 1400sqft home (130m2) because there were weak spots with my 1750AC TP-Link router. I installed it in the attic in the center of the house and now I have 5Ghz network everywhere in the house. There are still corners where the signal is rather weak but works reliably. It definitely made a big difference compared to the router, especially because of the advanced features, read later. I used the standalone setup with the iPhone app, it was intuitive enough. I finished it using the web interface of the AP that is also well organised and easy to use, just like all the other TP-Link devices in the house. Previously I had separate SSID's for the 2.4 and 5Ghz network so I could override my device's choice manually. Now I could use the same SSID thanks to the band steering feature. I had to reduce the 2.4Ghz network's transmission power to 12 though (another thing you cannot do on home routers) but now all my devices connect to the 5Ghz, even downstairs. I get the full 300Gbps internet speed on all devices on the same floor and still between 100-190Gbps one floor down. No issues with 4K streaming on my smart TV and video calls are now crystal clear. The AP is up and running for a month now, I didn't experience any outage or slowdown with 10+ devices in the house.

These are outstanding for the price
Forget “mesh network equipment” Get two of these and something like an edgerouterx. Flawless commercial-quality WiFi in your home for less than £300. Note that these come with poe injectors and power supply, so don’t worry if you don’t have a poe switch.

Very easy to install, very neat design, great signal.
I've got a 500Mbps fibre connection. I installed this to my large kitchen/family room. I ran a POE cable in to the ceiling. It's very easy to install, drill a hole to get the cable through, attach the mounting plate, plug in the POE cable and then attach and twist/lock the access point in to place. The signal is great, I get good coverage on the 2.4Ghz and fast speed on the 5Ghz, it handled a solid 48MB/s which is saturating the fibre.
