**Q: These are evidently made in China. 
Are there any canning weights that are made somewhere other than China?**
A: I think Amazon has a deal with China to only offer China made products in China's largest producing categories... like fermenting weights, in exchange for.... who knows what.

**Q: Can the glass inserts be used on top of fruit in a brine or syrup and either water bath canning method or pressure canner?  Is I ok in high temp**
A: These are glass lids lids that sit on top of foods for fermenting only.

**Q: Where are these made?  Are they made in China toxic crap?**
A: There is not any "made in" information on the box or product.

**Q: Are these from China?**
A: Not quite sure. I’m renovating kitchen and haven’t used yet. What I found on looking manufacturer up, Orlando, FL.

These are perfect. Nice quality, hefty weight, and just the right size. No complaints. Oh and they’re pretty durable… I may or may not have dropped one in the floor taking it out of the box and it held up fine lol.
