I love that it is small enough to just throw in my purse or running bag before I leave home, and a pen fits perfectly in the binding. Some people complain that it is too small to write on, and I disagree. You can't write giant bubbly lettering, but it is more for scratching down everything so you have a log. I love that there is a section for notes and the whole back of each page is lined so you can write a journal type entry. I love writing so it is very cool to write a little entry about how my run went, how I felt, and update any goals or thoughts I had. I got this when I started the Couch to 5K program, not being a runner at all, and now I just ran 5.5 miles along the beach. It is very neat to go back and read my entries from the beginning and see how my perspective has changed. I actually just purchased my second one because I filled the first!! There are 80 pages, and I numbered mine so I can celebrate milestones. I like to purchase myself a reward when I hit certain milestones, like my 50th run I got some new running socks. Also, I use a sharpie along the edge of the paper for races. I never use the "companions" section, and wish that was "weather" or something. I also jot down every run, so I don't have time to fill out the notes page, so I'd rather just have more run log pages.
