Maybe the author's technical background has something to do with it. Serapis' description of how consciousness can create space-time as we know it is too close to Gottfried Leibniz's (brilliant German mathematician who invented Calculus) theory of monadology to be a coincidence. Either Stubbs missed his calling as a physicist/mathematician or he truly is receiving signals from higher intelligence. Here's a brief quotation from chapter 1:"Space is therefore a field created to conduct energy. On the higher planes, we create our own space; on the physical plane, other levels of your own being create the physical space in which you live. It is both a unifying and a separating field: unifying in the sense that it allows what we radiate into it to interact, and separating in that it is organized so that the radiations don’t overlap."Intriguing physics aside, the Ascension Handbook does offer something superficially similar, but ultimately more inspired than the standard New Age pablum: his chapter on the Three Great Myths is philosophically provocative to say the least. A small sample from 'The Myth of Love':"The great myth of love is that you can love someone, something, or even yourself. No one can love another! You cannot love yourself or anyone else! Why? Because love is not a 'doing,' but an allowing."On the downside, Serapis does seem to be convinced that the 'end is nigh'; though in a good way. This isn't to say that I wish it weren't so, but channeled entities have been saying this for so long that I find it impossible to take seriously. It is true that, as our universe expands into infinity, all matter will decay into simple photons. In a very literal sense, we are all fated to transform into an omnipresent light (which is what photons are). But this isn't scheduled to happen for another 10^40 years, many thousands of times longer than the present universe has even existed. So enjoy the Ascension Handbook, but don't hold your breath on the ascension part! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great.. but *by R***Y on Reviewed in the United States on December 29, 2013* A lot of this book is PACKED with great info, however...I'm REALLY tired of spiritual books acting like we need to have sex with everyone. Just because someone is monogamous, doesn't mean it's troubled. People who have sex with multiple partners ALSO have issues, such as, fragmented inner personalities where they feel they must be with different people and can't be themselves with one person or deal with their intimacy issues. (because they are not whole in themselves yet.) There is nothing wrong with wanting one person physically all to yourself, (as the lower chakras that govern these issues are PERSONAL and not transpersonal) and being upset when they breach trust. (In the book it is presented that if someone you are with has sex with someone else that if you are spiritually enlightened you will respond with "was it good" instead of anger.)If you want to have sex with multiple people, more power to you, but keep in mind human sexuality is currently one of the MOST distorted energies on this planet right now and very fractured and damaged. Also keep in mind, the channeled information is going to reflect the distortions and biases of the channeler.If it hurts your heart, don't do it, even if others judge you as not being "spiritual" or having security issues. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Introduction to Ascension, not a Handbook *by J***I on Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2012* This book indeed gives some interesting information, and it offers us different angle to look at the current reality. For those unfamiliar with perception of this world as the complex structure of various energies it may actually lead to better understanding of its true framework. Even though in some details it may be not the same as other channelled information about Ascension process or Lightbody.But the problem with this book is different.Imho, it's all a bit too superficial, and it feels more like just an introduction to the Ascension, not a practical handbook at all. It gives too many mundane examples slowly explaining rather simple matters, as though the author tries to persuade readers that it's exactly the way it all happens.But the very nature of this book suggests that people (who proceed with reading such book) are supposed to be already familiar with the basics. A handbook proper is expected to have more solid and comprehensive material, it should be more of a _practical_ guide. It doesn't seem this way.And yet, at the same time, brevity and scarcity with which it touches some excercises apparently assumes that readers are quite advanced in meditation.
