This is a great vest, great materials not too heavy but yet not too light I think my personal opinion. I bought this vest in a medium because I have like four other vests and they are all mediums and they fit my GSD just fine And this vest I bought in a medium as well but the vest barely fits my GSD yes with the strap adjustments as far as I can extend them around my GSD body and the velcro around her body I mean the velcro was at the very edges and I put it to you this way ,with the velcro it's like a woman putting on a girdle and this was supposed to be a medium so I think that either there's something wrong in the sizing or if you want to buy a medium and you have a 80 to 90 lb dog you might think about getting a large in this vast I think they're undersized, a medium is more like a small for a . 80 , 90 lb dog even 100 lb dogs get a size large. And as I said it's a great vest I love the material it's light wait , especially 100° outside 105 heat index outdoors ,I mean it's breathable it's not too heavy. So I think it's safe to say the straps weren't the issue , it's the material that the velcro is on yes it's main body material that velcros underneath the stomach of your dog and then the straps go on top so in this case the main body material and the velcro , way too small as I said one more time it's like a woman putting on a girdle way back in the days that's how small it was and this was supposed to be a medium

Its a good vest overall. I only wish came as it was shown online with the dog patches and such, I also wish it was a bigger size cause my boy is almost too big for this one. But great vest if u have a normal dog under 100 lbs.

I saw a question yesterday about the MOLLE and carrying food and water for their dog for 3 days. To start off, this harness/vest is thin. The base layer is very lightweight, it consists of a very porous mesh, with one firm nylon strap going down the spine. There is velcro on either side of the vest to make a tight fit on the dog, as well as the 4 buckles straps. Next are nylon straps securing the front of the dog. On top of the thin mesh is a relatively firm layer of laser cut MOLLE on a fuzzy side of velcro. The buckles are certainly not genuine cobra buckles, they are plastic but seem quite sturdy for being plastic. If you intend to carry food and water for your dog for 3 or More days, be sure to purchase the smallest size you can. My dog is a puppy, and he lies on the border between medium and large, so I bought a large. The vest fits decently with the velcro, but the straps have no tension on them whatsoever. To avoid discomfort over long periods of wearing this, if your dog has short hair, I’d recommend a shirt of some sort under this vest. The tight fit will help secure the MOLLE attachments to your dog. The laser cut MOLLE seems strong enough, the only issue might be the fit the vest has on your dog, which will affect how much the vest rolls and bounces on your dogs body. I’ve included images of the largest bag I could fit on my dog’s medium vest, with the most secure fit I could get. It seems if the straps are more than 4 MOLLE loops apart, they will not fit evenly and securely on both sides. For a several day excursion, I’d suggest carrying several canteens of water on one side, and a bag long enough to cover the entire vest, not obstruct your dog’s head movement, and thin enough to be only as wide as a canteen, filled with the same weight of food/ gear as you have water weight on the other side. This way you can maximize the amount your dog can carry. I’ve never had my dog try to carry weight, but I don’t think he could carry much. Each of my bags are filled only with an army UCP jacket and trouser, and he did not want to jump on my bed with the weight. This is probably the best MOLLE vest regarding length, fit, and possible carry weight, for ~$50 that you’ll find on this site.

We are enjoying this harness. No issues. I have a Male GSD, fits him beautifully. The handles have held strong. There is the Velcro and plastic connectors But so far, it’s working. I like that it’s longer then what I’ve found at pet stores.

Looks great on my 95 lb 11 yr old GSD he has problems in his back end so I use the handles to help him over obstacles & getting into my Jeep

Great vest. Still lightweight. Lots of room to tighten. Lots of patch area.

I do not like it and I am sorry I bought it. It is difficult to put on and take off. Impossible to size fit, because it has seven adjustment points and two of them have to be adjusted every time it is put back on. I am in a wheelchair and I need a vest I can clip on and clip off. This has to go over then the belly net gets velcroed to the sides, (evenly) and then the two straps are buckled up. I am sorryI wasted my money on this.
