Because of this deception, I nearly took something that I’m highly allergic to before I mindlessly glanced at the ingredients list.

Yes, they contain soy (also corn). I just found this on their website: "Other Ingredients: Safflower Oil, Modified Starch (from corn), Vegetable Glycerin, Carrageenan, Disodium Phosphate, Medium Chain Triglycerides, Soy Lecithin."

Does it really smell like a rotten fish or meat?

I have chemical sensitivities and a very strong sense of smell. I've been buying Solgar Vitamin E for some time and have never noticed an odor of rotten fish or meat.I smelled my bottle just now - there is a very faint smell of oil, but it is not off-putting. I never would have noticed it if not for this question. I suggest that anyone who does experience a bad smell contact Solgar and give them the lot number from the bottle.

4 to 5 stars...

I was between four and five stars for this product. But as you can see, the four won it over. These pills are about three times the size of the normal vitamin e's that I take. I guess that makes sense because the milligrams so high. With such a high amount of milligrams, I personally only take 2 pills a week as that is plenty for me. However, the main reason for the four stars is after taking the vitamin e it left a dry mouth, strange taste on my tongue. It didn't last too long, but it still seemed odd to me.
