Not as good as the original, but still better than anything else out there.
Good, but not as good as the original it replaces. Zip can sometimes get caught which wasn't an issue on the original version. The original had a better design. It had a flap on both sides of the zip (one inside under the zip, one outside over the zip), so when zipped up you couldn't see the zip. Not the case on this, with a single flap under the zip, and so the zip is still visible when zipped up too. Small tools/gloves mesh pocket at rear tail is a positive change on the original. Still a 5 star jacket overall. Blocks rain & wind completely, packs down small, is light, and gets worn in all seasons.

Well made light and fits well
You can't beat Goretex for keeping you dry and also allowing some breathability, it's better than almost all the other materials available. This jacket is very well made, light and fits very well, the slightly longer sleeves are perfect for cycling and the longer back will keep the rain and road water off my back. It's not got wet yet but Goretex is the best for rainproof jackets and it's been a very useful wind proof layer so far. (My motorcycle clothing is all Goretex too) The colour is also nice, sharp enough to stand out but not attract the flies like fluorescent yellow does in the summer. Not the cheapest jacket but I wanted to buy one now and use it all year - cheaper jackets rip and leak so are usually not good value. I can see this lasting for years.

Good quality
Appears to be good quality, yet to wear in the rain. Large size I would say for me is a medium, but fits well.

Very waterproof, well made but not that breathable
For reference, I'm 188cm tall with chest size 37inches, weigh 71kg. I bought size M and L and tried both. The M was a pretty exact fit with no margin for extra layers, I decided to go with the L and am really pleased with it. Its not too baggy and is a good fit for road riding & perfectly aero enough. The arms are a good length (my arm span is about 188cm), that's another benefit of size L, the arms length is very good for someone like me who is quite tall with long arms. The other reviews I read suggested to go down a size, but I'd disagree. I would normally buy M or S for T shirts etc. I wore it on top of two layers and it was good. Its also quite lightweight if you want to fold it up and put it in your pocket. Its very waterproof, but not that breathable and I'm not someone who sweats very much either. Eg on a moderately hard ride in 12degC, its gets a bit damp on the inside, but I don't think any alternative would be better. It has some relective strips on it, they should ideally be a bit bigger, but I'm sure they will stand out in the dark. The perfect solution would have been to buy M and L and keep both. Use M on wet days in the summer and L on wet days in the winter

Wonderful cycling jacket, odd sizing
Ok, so it's not cheap but perhaps worth it to get this level of waterproofing and breathability. It's also remarkably lightweight. However, sizing is frankly bizarre, especially in something that is supposed to be "comfort fitting" - even for cycling clothing. Normally I wear medium to large - depending on the brand. Never, have I had to order an XL. And no, it's not all those cafes stops. And yet, the XL is perhaps a fraction larger than I would like. Just keep this in mind.

Ordered size smaller, but no tags with jacket.
This arrived scrunched up in a poly bag and there were no tags attached to the jacket (I would expect the usual Gore-tex tags etc). Maybe this was a return? Checked it over and it seems ok, but not worn whilst cycling yet. Also arrived a day early, not usually a problem but it caused a problem for me as I had selected my place of work as the delivery address, knowing I would be there on the advised date for delivery. 4 stars for now but will update once I use it. According to the size chart I should be a medium, 36" chest, but this is what Gore call 'Active fit' which is looser fitting and they advise, on their website size chart, to get a size down if you want a more slim/tight fit if you fall between two sizes. That didn't quite apply to me, being in the middle of the Medium size range, but it fits fine. I say fine, but I wouldn't be able to wear much underneath, standard cycling jersey and shorts will be ok, exactly what I want this for. For reference I'm also only 5ft 3in tall, 31" waist, 35.5" hips. The smaller size also means the arm length is better suited to me too. Update 17/11/2021: I've now worn this a few times in light and heavy rain and can report that it performs as expected; it does not leak. I've worn it over a Boardman summer cycling jersey, a long sleeve Castelli Perfetto ROS jacket (tight fitting) and a DHB Classic Thermal softshell jacket (slightly looser fitting). As it gets colder, I'll also be wearing a merino wool top underneath the two long sleeve jackets, and this will fit over comfortably. There is a bit of sweat vapour built up, but nothing that I notice as wet when riding, and certainly not wet through any other clothing. I think it generally condenses the vapour in parts of the jacket, maybe at points where it's not so close to my body (jacket beneath) and there is an air gap or maybe cause my me unzipping a bit for some cooling. Upgraded to 5 stars now.

Well made, good snug fit, light weight
Nice jacket, feels good quality and quite light, packs down small. There seems to be a lot of conflicting views on the sizing with review recommendations to size up and even to size down! I'm 6ft / 182cm and 176lb / 80kg, relatively light build. I ordered size Medium which is a good fit - on the slim side but that's generally what you want for a cycling jacket and there's still room under it for a winter jersey without it feeling tight. I usually order mens' medium size so the sizing is pretty much as expected.

I used this jacket for many years of cycle commuting and wore it rain, shine, and (with layering) even in the snow. Size up a little and be warm, comfortable, and completely dry in all conditions. P.S. Looks so good and is so functional I bought a second one in black for use on the golf course.

Tolle, leichte Regenjacke.

My favorite jacket. Thin, long arms, narrow fit. Only downside is front pocket is quite small and one extra pocket besides the back would be nice. And the hanger broke after a year, it's too fragile.
