10 Way Slide Hammer Puller Set - 41700D

Awesome tool! Came in a case with other tools. Very sturdy. I used the slide hammer to remove the wheel bearing and hub assembly from my 2015 Porsche Macan. Wheel bearing came off with ease. Highly recommended!

CV axles. Hammering them out with a pry bar while you're under the car works, but it can take forever. Watching repair videos, I saw one mechanic use a slide hammer with an attachment to pop the axles out ridiculously quickly. I shopped around locally and a few places online. I decided on this Gearwrench kit over another brand from a local tool store chain because of the lifetime warranty vs. a 90-day warranty. This one was also $20 less expensive regularly and almost $30 cheaper when I purchased it on sale. Gearwrench has a great reputation and has a better price in this instance. I've used it once already along with a CV axle puller tool sold separately. It worked exactly as it should. The axle came out with very little effort. I've ordered an extension for it. I didn't have enough clearance to move the hammer on the passenger side of my 2004 Toyota Matrix. One thing I like about this one is the hammer has a texture to it instead of being smooth and cromed like some other brands. The texture should make it easier to maintain a grip as you work. I'm sure this will be one tool that will help me with other repair jobs. Nothing beats having the right tools for the right job!

Puller set is well made and great quality. Did an excellent job removing rear wheel hub bearing.

Does what it claims to do I Milled a hole in the center of some old cast iron dumbbells to give me variable weight options 10 & 25 Lbs "a must in the rust belt" but the tool itself comes with the connectors and tips needed to remove "almost every CV axle " (Almost) Meaning some Toyota owners will have to get creative or buy a special tip to use this on select Toyota models mainly drivers side CV axles that have a deeper recess before you can grab the notch on the axle. Yaris Corolla, Echo, Vitz , Scion XA & XD. But it works great for most other applications and IMO it's a time saver thus it's money well spent

it works good for axles and bearing races. i'm giving it 4 stars because the teeth don't grip the best ,but they do the job.

Great puller set, performs well, and has many configurations. I will be buying more of their equipment in the future.

Put it to the test the first car. Frozen axle. My normal 1/2 in impact came to a stop so I pulled out my strong new impact gun so I can surely strip this tool the right way. It took it and pushed out that stuck badly axle. Awesome job. I’m a master tec with 49 years experience.
