After using it for about a week on my dog, I did not notice a difference. I did do the test before I ever put it on our dog and it tested ok. However, while on the dog it will not activate when he barks. Our dog is a beagle/basset and has a very loud bark. if he won't activate it, no dog will. So I emailed the company. After I got their email response, I asked the to call me. They called right away. I explained that the unit was not sensitive enough to activate when our dog was barking. Tried all sensitivity settings. They agreed to refund me and send me a second unit. Same result. Please stay away from this bark collar as it does not work! The 1 star is for their customer service.Please filter reviews by verified purchasers!!! If you have a dog that doesn't have a low, vibrating bark, don't bother. It runs off vibration. Didn't trigger once for my shih tzu. Even on test mode. Doesn't even trigger if I wear it. Could only get it to shock if I scratched it (ruined the plastic snatched so hard) on its "test strip" Didn't work waste of money. The lowest level of shock is still enough to leave your hand numb for several minutes and I couldn't see wanting to turn it up past the lowest level.
