Toolmaker's Precision Spring Dividers Calipers Compass 0-6.5" / 160 mm Range C1-06

I use these as wing dividers for leather crafting. They are a little big for what I need, but not unusable. They are easy to use and very sturdy; the tips aren't too sharp, but pointy enough to make marks in the leather. My criticism is that the tips don't quite meet perfectly aligned with each other (it's off vertically by, like, half a millimeter or less). I guess you'd have to pay more for the professional calipers to get that level of precision. I'd buy from this brand again if they also offered a smaller wing dividers.

Excellent product. I looked at many different versions and read a lot of reviews. I find myself taking days or weeks before buying tools because I don't want any regrets or go through the return process. UPS isn't reliable when it comes to picking up returns. If they come to the wrong door they will not return a second time and not leave a shipping label for you to return it. Anyways, this product is built very well. It feels and looks like more expensive versions. I just realized that I should go make a leather pouch for it.

Works well

I haven't used this scribe very much yet, but it's quite sturdy, the points are sharp and it holds position well. I use it both to measure off areas and to scribe cutting lines for my stained glass projects. I'm confident it'll continue to do well for the measuring. Whether the points remain sharp is another question. The points are not replaceable. But I'm sure I'm using it not quite as it was intended, so it the points wear, I won't be surprised....and I'd buy it again.

So far it's done a great job. I was slightly worried that at the price point it wasn't going have stellar accuracy, but I was wrong. Holds it's length down to 1/64th of an inch and is great in both drawing up plans and measuring projects on the lathe. Very easy to adjust and everything feels well made. Very happy with the value so far.

its well made and accurate enough for my needs.. (marking stitch lines) and I am quite satisfied with it, and its a good price. I'll probably by another one...

Bought this for scribing measured dimensions onto cars for cutting and flanging. Was a little worried that they wouldn't lock good enough in the held position for what I do but so far its worked great and they are perfectly even legged. I kinda put a beating on these and so far they've held up great
