Appear to be precision machined and have a metal reed instead of the gasket and plastic reed found in other models. These can also be adapted to use on early Yamaha 9.9 four stroke outboards. The inlet is on the bottom instead of the side with the outlet. You can reroute the inlet hose and save a lot of money. The early Yamaha pumps are upwards of $100. Other option is to swap your old reed housing onto the new pump, if it’s in good shape. You can also remove the brass plug on the new pumps inlet side, use it to plug the bottom inlet, then cut the bottom inlet hose fitting off, drill and tap a brass inlet on the side. New pump is slightly different than the old. In pictures attached the new pump has caps on inlet and outlet and the other pump was the old one from my motor. The piston was a different shape and from the mounting holes to the surface with the arrow it was slightly thicker but it mounted and ran just fine.
