I’ve been using this box grater for a few weeks now, mostly for cheese, veggies, and citrus zest and it works exactly how you want it to. The blades are sharp enough to grate quickly without a lot of effort, and each side is actually useful (I use the coarse side for cheese, fine for parmesan/zest). It feels solid and stable in your hand, not flimsy, and the handle is comfortable and secure. Pros: Sharp, efficient blades Sturdy stainless steel (doesn’t bend) Versatile 4-sided design Easy to rinse clean or toss in the dishwasher Cons: No container to catch food and can slide a bit on smooth counters without the bottom grip. Bottom line: Simple, durable, and gets the job done. Great everyday kitchen staple for the price.

Lovely grater/shredder. Quality stainless steel materials that will not rust and will last a long time. Stays put as you use it on the countertop or cutting board. I got this one over a more costly type since there is a slice option on one side of the box. I want to slice veggies, but still have the option to slice cheese. Most of the do-dads for these jobs are either specific to cheese or to vegetables only. This one will grate hard cheese and veggies as well. It took me hours to determine which item to buy. I added some items to my cart, took my time to choose the ones I liked best, and ended up taking advantage of the Amazon cookware sale. I try to use Pam so the cheese will not stick so much, and put it in the dishwasher. We do not like to tempt fate with cheese, so I rinse it off. However, this is as good as any other shredder/grater I have used, just like the one Mom had in her kitchen, but with upgraded materials. Try putting this in a box with other kitchen food prep goodies, as you would for a wedding shower. It is something my mother did for me as I moved away, and then when I married husband #1. This is not a large item. It can fit into a large drawer or be hung up in the cupboard. Sharp and great quality. EZ-care, dishwasher safe. Great price! Enjoy!

Solid and functional.

The four sides allow for different grates and work well. A bit lighter construction than those of the past. The soft bottom ring adds a nice slip resistance and anti scarring feature.

I like the various Grating sizes and ease of use!

We got this because our old skinny, space-saving grater was suchhh a pain to get clean, filled up too quickly, and had a plastic handle we didn't want in the dishwasher because microplastics. This thing is great - the rubber thing at the bottom comes off easily and goes back on again if you want non-skid. We throw it in the dishwasher and it comes out clean. And the slicer has become surprisingly useful for grilled cheese, quesadillas, and nachos.

This is a great basic grater with multiple options for slicing and shredding. Whether I’m grating cheese, slicing veggies, or doing finer shreds, it handles it all really well. It’s nothing fancy, but it works exactly how it should. Sharp, easy to use, and easy to clean. A super handy tool to have in the kitchen—and it doesn’t take up much space either. Definitely worth it!

Fantastic value. A very good size, neither too large nor too small with a comfort grip and good build. No sharp corners (except on the grating sides as expected) Copes easily with grating carrots courgettes, apples, potatoes. Cheese is a breeze and potato rounds for dauphinoise are a doddle. My best buy of the year so far, as I was getting tired of grated food going everywhere. Now it piles up neatly inside the box until I lift the grater up. Easy to clean and I couldn't be more pleased. Worth every penny and after using it for over a week I can confirm that it's very sharp. No effort needed at all. I grate an apple onto my porridge every morning, in seconds. 😋
