Ultraviolet (UV) light is an effective chemical-free water treatment step that tackles various water concerns in well water and brings clean water to the house. UV water treatment can give you peace of mind, knowing that you are protected from culprits of water contamination often found in aging infrastructure in many cities. Step 1:Install one O-ring onto the open end of Quartz Tube. Insert the tube into the SS chamber. Put the other O-ring onto the closed end of the tube. Hand tighten end nuts. Step 2: Connect the 4-pin electrical socket to UV lamp pins. Step 3: Carefully insert the UV lamp into the quartz tube through the open end nut. Hand tighten the black cover cap. Step 4: Insert the black o-ring to the flow switch connector. Step 5: Insert the flow switch on the outlet. Please be aware of the water flow direction. Step 6: Connect the flow switch cable with the electronic ballast.

We installed this whole house filter along with a couple of up-stream filters on our well-fed cabin. There is a variable amount of sediment which necessitated the particle filters and the whole system is performing as expected. The bacterial contamination which this was installed to treat was not detectable after installation. It's been working consistently since installation and while we did have an issue after 6 months with the ballast, the service from the company was fantastic, they sent out a repair part immediately and the issue was resolved. I recently also examined the light and quartz tube, and it was clear and operating fine. I do have a spare quartz tube and backup lights for the replacement which is expected to be needed annually.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Take Your Time On The Install

Here is my install, it took me about 4-6 hours to install. I leaked tested the unit overnight and I had no problems with the unit. Theres a couple of things to keep in mind when installing, 1. I would encourage you to have a GFCI or something similar when plugging the unit in, water and electricity is really close in relationship with this unit. 2. When installing the Quartz tube be sure not to install the Oring too high on the tube because doing so will bottom out the tube on the stainless cap while snugging up the cap, could lead to a broken tube. 3. I installed a filter after the unit just in case there is any glass breakage, the filter will catch the glass shards instead of going up into the house with the water supply. 4. I would order and have on hand extra supplies such as Orings and Quartz Tubes as well as an extra UV light bulb. I plan on using new Orings while cleaning the Quartz Tube as needed to minimize the chance of leaks. Like I said I have just installed the unit and will report back in a few months after use, I plan on having no issues because the unit as a whole seems to be of excellent quality. The Quartz Tube and UV light parts were packed with a very good foam outer layer and cardboard sleeves for the parts. Instructions are pretty straight forward. So far Customer service has been excellent via email because I just can't find time to call and speak with CS. George Update....here it is 5/16/2025 and the unit is working flawlessly. I'm so glad that I purchased this unit when I did it made an excellent addition to my filtration system. George
