The Hot Weather Garrison Boot is a revolutionary combat boot unlike anything previously available to U.S. military personnel. Once you wear this boot in the field, you will realize that it represents a significant step forward in tactical footwear. Sizes range from 3-14 in full and half sizes and regular or wide.These boots are made in the USA with the latest technology to provide comfort and durability for today's military personnel operating in the Middle East and Asia. This full-featured boot offers the following: micro-suede upper, compression molded EVA midsole, TR adrenaline oil and slip resistant rubber outsole, single density molded EVA insole as well as a highly breathable unlined upper. The seams are double and triple stitched for durability and the boot has 3 layers of cushioning comfort for superior shock absorption. The boots also feature a side zip for easy on and off, and a composite toe.These are men's boots. For Women's Sizes order 2 size smaller than your regular Shoe size (i.e. if you wear a woman's size 8, order a size 6).

    Ow my ankles

So I bought these boots for hiking and for general use, and I can just say OW. There is absolutely NO padding on the inside of the boot to provide comfort or to support the ankle, it is hard leather. Specifically the back of the foot has a hard leather backing to make the boot stand upright, and it DIGS right into either side of your ankle. Compared to the other pair of boots I own, which were $60 cheaper have this feature and provide better support to my ankle without digging in.

Would have liked to received the boot that I ordered but got something totally different than the advertived product.  No composite toe, no zipper, fits really small.
