Update: We’ve had this over 9 months now and it looks about as crispy new as when we got it!! The kids still play with it very often, so I’d say it’s very durable! I gave another star because almost all the sets out there at this price range would need more pieces to build anything significant. I found some used tinker pieces to go with this and it’s great! Original: I got this tool set for my 4 & 2 year old daughters. They love pretending to fix things. I love how this set came in a case that has areas for all the pieces. It locks shut so everything doesn’t spill out everywhere. I think the faces on the tools make it really cute and help girls to know they can use tools too. I gave it 4 stars because if we’re going to build multiple objects, I’ll have to get some more “parts”, but it gives enough to have a good start. The set seems well made so it should last a long time. My boy nephews came over and played with it for an hour or two and it looks just the same as when I got it, so I’m happy with that. I wanted a wood set because so many of my kids toys are plastic and who knows what’s in all that plastic. Overall I’d say I’m glad I ordered this set and would do it again!

My son loves open ended toys.. The moment I saw this, I knew I had to get it for him. It's really well made, smooth edges (safe for kids to play). Also love, that it's all wooden. The box is also really well made and great to keep the tools. There are lots of different structures & things that can be made using the parts provided. What I love: >Open ended play >Wooden, well made and strudy >Cute lil faces on the Tools > Great way for young kids to learn about building things and also keep things organised (in the box) (number of pieces are just about right for them to build cool things, at the same time not too many to overwhelm young ones) What could be better: It would be great to have a mesh bag or something similar to hold the smaller pieces as they tend to move all over the box once the box is closed (m sure I can find something for that, but just saying)

I highly reccomend this for a creative child who loves to build and imagine theyre really fixing things! The only thing I'd say is to make sure you're in eyes view because the holes are small enough to fit a kids finger in! Other than the warning of that it's a GREAT toy for kids and the colors last really long!

Great product, my 3 year old nephew loved this for Christmas. He had a blast playing for hours. Well made tool and all prices easily fit back into case for easy cleanup.

I purchased this tool box for my 2yo. He loves it and it keeps him busy! It is very hard to keep him entertained otherwise. When we moved to a new house 4 months back, we disassembled our furniture and he used to take and play with our screw drivers! Thats when i started searching for a tool set and found this. I gifted this set to my son, it has plier, wrench, screws, screw drivers, nuts and bolts... and a cutr little box to keep them. It helps in motor skills and also imagination! Its sturdy and durable as its been couple of months and everything is good, nothing is broken, colors have not faded.. Totally worth money!

This was such a fun gift to give! It comes with basic tools with the names so that kids can start to identify them. Plus to be able to carry it around as a tool case is so fun for them. My nephew is all about pretending right now, so getting to now practice being a builder, construction worker, etc is great. And my favorite part of that there are a few little projects you can build. I had a great time helping my nephew use the right tools to put together a little race car. Great STEM product!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This 36-piece wooden tool set has a **really good idea** at its core, aiming to develop STEM skills and imagination through pretend play for little builders. The concept is fantastic, and my child was initially very excited. However, the **quality is very poor**, which significantly detracts from the play experience. We found that the sizes of the pieces often **do not match**, making it genuinely hard to build constructions as intended. Furthermore, a **bolt head fell off after just one day of use**, which was quite disappointing. The **bolt threads were also too big**, adding to the difficulty in assembling pieces. While the idea is excellent for fostering creativity and engineering basics, the execution needs considerable improvement for better durability and playability.

My 2 youngest kids have been having fun playing with it. 4 of 5 stars for durability because of the fabric stretch bands that hold the tools in place. They probably will degrade quicker, but I suppose for a safer toy they do the job better than plastic, wood, or metal would (at least for as long as they last) to get the tools in and out easily. Nice carry case. Tiny rope handle may be too small and awkward to be functional for little hands, but not a deal breaker. Cute cartoon-like character faces on the tool handles add to the make-believe fun. Neatly done fun paint colors. Price may be a little high, but worth it depending on what you can find in a comparable wooden tool set with as many pieces. Nice color instructions for ideas on things that can be built with what is included.
