I do not think that Amazon has an 8mm size.

They are packaged in a ziplock bag.

How many pieces are supposed to be in this set?

There’s suppose to be 100 pieces but I think depending on the size bigger size you actually get less. Hope this helps you

How many different colors are in the set?

They appear to be a random, but I have found the color assortment to be similar to the illustration. I like these, and others colors from this company.

I purchased 2 sets of HYBEADS 100PCS Assorted Austria #5601 6mm Cube Crystal Beads. Arrived in two baggies inside a padded mailing envelope. One bead was broken out of 200 so that's not too bad. I sorted them out into individual colors so I can find them quickly. The pictures show all the ones I got. It's a decent mix of colors. Wish it were a little more even in color distribution but I will find a use for each and every one of these beautifully shiny beads. They will be a great addition to my jewlery making. Love Hybeads!! I will definitely purchase from this seller again.

Took forever and did not get 100 pieces.

I did not receive 100 pieces. i got 10 beads and it took it about 2 and a half months to come. the beads are really cute though.

The colors can be random, but I have purchased these a couple of times and have always had "sets". What I use them for, I don't need multiples of the same color, so the "assorted" works out great for me! The quality is good. Colors are vibrant, sizes and quality are consistent. I will purchase these again when I run out!
