🌿 Breathe Brilliance: Elevate your air quality with cutting-edge bipolar ionization!
The Bipolar Ionization Air Purifier Module (model TFB-YD1278) is a compact, energy-efficient 12V DC ion generator designed for HVAC and standalone air purification systems. It produces a powerful output of over 8 million negative ions and 4 million positive ions per cubic centimeter, effectively neutralizing airborne contaminants like dust and pollen. With a high-voltage output of ±3.0kV and minimal ozone emission (<0.05 ppm), it ensures safe, clean indoor air. Built for durability, it operates reliably across a wide temperature range (-10°C to 45°C) and has proven performance longevity exceeding 18 months.

It works
Using this to ionize particles in the air and it seems to work decently well

Fs7santastic!
It works grdd8ddeat! I defini3j3j3tely haven't shocked myself wiiiidididth it, and I'm definitelyyy not still occasionally convulssllsing

As advertised. Small, efficient, effective.
Works as advertised. Seems like it can take a little more than just 12v as listed as my adjustable power supply was set to 16v and it worked perfectly.

Great for replacement part or for science fun
This replacement part is meant for use in a negative ion air purifier. It takes a relatively low voltage DC current and turns it into a 5kV static discharge. Those negative ions attract dust, smoke, and other particles to help purify the air. But I ordered this not for a replacement part but for another fun way to demonstrate interesting physics and electric principals to young and eager middle schoolers who punch above their weight class in the science field. So far, it has performed perfectly and I’ve had no problems with it. It’s been suggested that it can easily exceed the recommended 9V rating. Just as a test, I ran it up to a current limited 12V without frying the guts. I don’t think I’d take it beyond though, I bet it could take it… probably greatly reduce its lifespan though. Anyway, good value and good product.

Produces Plenty of Static
Solid little unit that works well even at 9V. The dedicated ground out lead is nice and means you won't need to solder your own. Overall construction and potting are excellent. As this is unit is designed for ionizing rather than pulling arcs etc, brushes rather than bare wire are connected to its output leads. While this does prevent arcs and sparks, it might also leave you wondering if the thing is actually working. After connecting the negative lead to a 9V battery, I placed my multimeter between the battery and unit's positive leads and found a 4mA draw. Curiosity then got the best of me and led to a highly (un)scientific experiment involving some tinfoil, chopsticks and a pair of alligator clips. The output brushes were connected via alligator clips to a pair of tinfoil flag-things which were hastily wrapped around a pair of chopsticks and subsequently jammed into a cardboard box. More tinfoil was then wrapped around a 3rd chopstick that would sit between the two. I then reconnected the 9V battery and found the same 4mA current draw but more importantly, the tinfoil flags flapping away as they ought to while connected to a static device (see video). 5 stars for quality, performance and plenty of tinfoil tinkering potential.
