Cyclone Cup Shaker, Orange

Having only begun aggressively working out in the last six months, this is the first blender bottle I've ever purchased; I'd try the protein thing before, but you can't take a blender to work easily. I can say with certainty, that's now a non issue. The Cyclone Cup works as designed and as advertised. There are a few things I'd like to specifically call out: Form: + It's durable; the bottle is rugged, the plastic is strong. It doesn't feel flimsy or light in the hand + The threading is intelligent; the top of the bottle threads to the outside (the bottle fits into the cap) while the bottom of the bottle (the container, the bit you see in the picture) threads to the INSIDE. This is important, a) because if you've had an interior threading bottle, you know you're asking for gunk in the threads. This avoids that neatly. b) the reverse threading on the bottom means the same thing, it's a cleaner look, and you won't get your powder anywhere but where it belong. + It is easily deconstructed into four parts; the heavy plastic agitator, the cop, the bottle itself, and the container cup. + The airhole in the top works well; you get a direct feed of your drink, rather than having to slurp/suck on a straw/etc. - You can really only drink from one angle: straight on, which is awkward - The top hinge is too 'big' for my liking; it's huge. Yes, it stays shut, but I would have preferred an equally sturdy 'in line' hinge that locks in place on the lid, rather than a full-length hinge that kind of hangs out there. Function: + It blends Muscle Milk with no residue. I don't know who all drinks what, but it works exactly as advertised; when I'm done shaking, there are no particles or clumps, just protein shake. + It cleans the exact same way (although please limit yourself to warm water, not hot; this isn't rated for hot drinks) + It stays dry, near as I can tell; I've had it for three days and made four or five shakes; it freezes easily, stands up to average handling and gets the job done. Without having tried other blender cups, I can say I have no interest in them. While this one could use a few improvements, they're design nitpicks, rather than functional flaws. Worth the five stars, it'll last you for ages if you take care of it.

Very nice shaker cup. Its fairly easy to wash. I don't use the storage cup in the bottom, though I'm sure it comes in handy for folks who want to use the cup for other drinks (or maybe more than one protein drink per day, I suppose). It pretty durable. My only minor complaint is that the measuring lines are only on one side of the cup.

I have used several different shaker products-each promising to be the best, etc. They have all been a disappointment. Lumps of powder, difficult to clean, yuck. So far this one has mixed my protein drinks evenly and well. I haven't had an issue with powdery gunk in my drinks or gooey sludge to clean off when the powder didn't mix properly. The small drinking hole cover opens completely so I don't stick it in my eye and get chocolate drink on my nose. It seems sturdy. It's a keeper!

Somehow the screw-cap doesn't seal tight and I always have water dripping out while shaking. Making it really tight solves the problem but re-open is a pain. Apart from that design is great and love the extra compartment.. .

I've had a few shaker bottles but generally they've left me looking for more. I either lose or metal shaker piece or find they do a poor job cleaning up after the protein. In either of these cases I end up going through them quickly. I saw the Cyclone Cup randomly one day and decided to give it a try. I'll admit it lives up to the hype. Lately I've been buying some pretty horrible Giant protein that is super cheap. It seems ok, but I really notice a difference when trying to blend it. Using this bottle blends it perfectly. I used to deal with massive protein clumps but not anymore. I think my favorite feature is the same cyclone technology cleans it without a mess. I used to waste plenty of dish detergent trying to clean these. Now a little dab of it and hot water, shake, and the bottle is clean. Great product!!

Really good shaker. I don't like the traditional grate mixers or ball mixer due to less than stellar mixing with protein power. Also this one doesnt hold the odors or taste of other protein powders or amino acid post work out powders. Easy to wash and looks really nice.

I use it mostly for mixing protein shakes and sometimes milkshakes. It looks bigger than it is because the bottom compartment is designed to hold a small scoop of powder or anything else you can fit in it really. The design of the product is great and it's very easy to disassemble/put together. It holds about 18 oz of water comfortably and blends with ease. The only thing that has bothered me so far is it drips in between sipping. I constantly feel water running down the side and it's not from the lid itself, just after taking multiple sips. I can always tell if it's dripping because it will leave a ring of water underneath where I placed it down. I'd recommend buying a sleeve to hold it with so you don't get your hands wet in between sets if you workout with it. Other than that I am happy with my purchase.

Seemed like a great shaker cup, but less than 2 weeks of use it is already leaking on the seal. No cracks or evidence of damage, just a poor seal system with the "cyclone" design. I DO NOT recommend this cup. Im going back to a regular shaker design.
