Just Like the Kettles back in Germany
My wife and I are impressed with the Aigostar Electric Kettle with Temperature Control! Finding a high-quality kettle with precise temperature management can be surprisingly, but this model comes incredibly close to the style and functionality of the kettle we used when we lived in Germany. Fast & Efficient Boiling: This 1500W kettle heats water up incredibly fast. It saves us so much time in the morning compared to traditional stovetop methods. Brilliant Color-Changing LED Indicator: The visual element is a fantastic touch. The built-in LED light changes color based on the current water temperature, letting you know exactly where it's at with just a quick glance. The Ultimate Baking Secret Weapon: Beyond just making tea, the lowest temperature preset has become an absolute game-changer for my baking. It holds the water at the exact perfect warmth required for blooming yeast flawlessly every single time. Overall Verdict: Between the nostalgia of European-style functionality, the blazing fast speed, and its unexpected versatility for baking, this is easily the best kettle we've owned in the States. We couldn't be happier with it!

Fast-Boiling, Sleek Kettle That’s Easy to Clean and Built for Safety
I bought the Chefman Electric Kettle (1.8L, 1500W glass model) to replace an aging stovetop kettle that had become a hassle to clean and slow to boil. I make tea, coffee, and instant meals regularly, and I wanted something faster, safer, and easier to maintain. After using this kettle for nearly a month, I’ve been impressed by its speed, safety features, and thoughtful design—especially the removable lid and clear glass body. How I Used It I mainly use the kettle for boiling water in the mornings and throughout the day for herbal teas, French press coffee, and quick ramen. I fill it with tap water, place it on the included base, and hit the power switch. The water usually reaches a full boil in under 5 minutes, depending on the amount. After use, I clean the inside every few days using vinegar and water or a soft sponge, thanks to the wide opening and detachable lid. Pros Fast Boil Time: The 1500W heating element brings 1.5–1.8 liters of water to a full boil quickly—usually in 4 to 5 minutes. It’s significantly faster than a stovetop kettle and perfect for morning routines. Clear Glass Body: The borosilicate glass makes it easy to monitor the water level and boil progress. It looks sleek and modern on the counter, and the blue LED ring adds a cool visual touch while heating. Removable Lid for Easy Cleaning: One of the best features. Unlike many kettles with fixed or flip lids, this one detaches fully, making it easy to reach inside for thorough cleaning or descaling. Built-In Safety Features: It has auto shut-off when the water boils and boil-dry protection if you accidentally turn it on empty. These features give peace of mind, especially if you’re multitasking. Stainless Steel Filter: There’s a small stainless steel filter built into the spout to help reduce particles from entering your cup. It’s not a water purifier, but it’s a nice touch for tea and coffee drinkers. BPA-Free Materials: The parts that contact water (glass, stainless steel, plastic handle) are all BPA-free, which is important to me for health reasons. Large Capacity: At 1.8L, it holds enough hot water for multiple servings—great for families, guests, or prepping a day’s worth of tea or coffee in one go. Cons No Temperature Control: It’s a basic on/off kettle, so it boils to 212°F with no way to select lower temps (like 180°F for green tea). This wasn’t a dealbreaker for me, but it’s something to consider if you brew delicate teas. Handle Can Warm Slightly: The handle stays cool enough to touch, but it does get a little warm after boiling. It’s not dangerous, just something to note if you’re used to insulated handles. Cord Management Is Basic: The base has a place to wrap extra cord underneath, but it’s not especially intuitive or tidy. Still, it works for storage purposes. Comparisons Compared to my old stovetop kettle, this Chefman is faster, easier to clean, and much safer with the auto shut-off. Against the Cosori or Mueller electric kettles, the Chefman holds its own—though those offer models with temperature control and slightly more advanced features. The removable lid sets this one apart from similar kettles in its price range. For those who don’t need preset temps, this is a simpler and more affordable pick. Tips for Buyers Descale Regularly: Use a vinegar-water mix or lemon juice monthly if you have hard water. The wide lid makes cleaning easy, which helps prevent buildup. Don’t Overfill: Stick to the max fill line to avoid overflow when boiling. It boils vigorously, so give it room to breathe. Let It Cool Before Refilling: For best longevity, let the kettle cool slightly between uses if you're boiling back-to-back. Use Filtered Water If Possible: Keeps the glass cleaner and extends the kettle’s life by reducing mineral buildup. Who Should Buy This? This kettle is perfect for tea and coffee drinkers who want a fast-boiling, no-fuss appliance with a modern look and essential safety features. If you don’t need precise temperature control but care about durability, visibility, and ease of cleaning, it’s an excellent choice for daily use in kitchens, offices, or dorms. Overall, the Chefman Electric Kettle has streamlined my morning routine and made boiling water a cleaner, faster, and more reliable process. I love the glass design, appreciate the large capacity, and feel confident using it thanks to its built-in safety. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to upgrade from stovetop or older electric models.

I regret I didn’t buy it sooner
For someone who thought they never needed a kettle, I’m sure glad I own this. I use it for a lot of different things other than just making hot tea so it’s very handy and when I stupidly overfilled it against the instructions suggestion it did malfunction. But I liked it enough to actually purchase a new one identical to it.

Overall good value, great utility, but has 1 shortcoming
Backstory: I have used a stove-top kettle for many years. During those same years, my homemade, French press coffee was never good. I bought whole beans, I bought a nice burr grinder, I followed most of the instructions I could find and believe that the temperature of the water is killing my coffee. After searching for thermometers for kettles, I deterred an electric kettle may just be my best bet for the auto-off function. Now that you know that, I really enjoy this kettle. I put it on the base and turn it on, then I press the temperature control button to 90F. With each press of the temperature button, the light changes so I always know, purple is 90F. The machine has an automatic-off so the water does not heat too much. The design is easy to grab and easy to pour. The one aspect that could be better is either the cord itself or the pouring spout. Let me explain however, because I still use, and recommend, this kettle despite this design flaw, which I feel like most kettles will have. The pictures above sho my set-up, and I fill the kettle, put it on the base and turn it on. If I leave it there, steam will come out the top and hit the tile backsplash and to some degree the bottom side of the cabinets. In order to avoid this steam bath, I pull out the appliance, but then I am faced with a really short cord. So, I have to turn the kettle so the open portion of the top vents out into the kitchen, but then, bc of the design of all electric kettles, the glass is hot and I have to reach to the side of the product to get the handle. By now, you probably see my dilemma. Deal with the steam bath on the wall and cabinets or pull it out every time I use it and then have to deal with a short cord and reach around the hot kettle. Again, your set-up may not be the same, I would love a counter-top with no upper cabinets or a more recessed cabinet where I can place all my tea and coffee stuff, but I am not there yet. Would I still recommend this, absolutely. Do I think this and most other kettles can me better, again, absolutely. Lets make things better, together.

Dangerous Product, DO NOT BUY, Multiple Emails to Manufacturer Ignored
The problem with this kettle is that the shutoff mechanism doesn't work when it reaches the target temperature, so it will boil itself dry if you don't watch it and shut it off manually. When not in use, it has also beeped at random, as if it was being turned on. For safety, we have to unplug it when not using it. I tried to contact the manufacturer to report the issue and get help. The Amazon "get product support" link takes you to their external website, but they have not responded to multiple emails. Ultimately, I am very disappointed with both the product and the lack of communication from the manufacturer and have to warn other customers to stay away given the significant safety issues with this kettle.
