Combat Max 12 Month Roach Killing Bait, Small Roaches, Kill Nest, 18 Count

So, my apartment building moved me down to the 1st floor because of my disability. When my friends heard what apartment I was moving into, they warned me not to take it because of the huge roach problem in here. The landlord assured me they would not move me in until it was taken care of. My building in general sucks and has a huge roach problem. I never had any at my old apartment on the 13th floor, though. Of course, I move in, and the first night, what do I see in the kitchen? A bazillion roaches. Next morning, roaches on my walls in the living room. I was losing it. I immediately reported to the office for pest control, and I was pretty ticked off Because they told me the problem was eliminated. Pest control comes every week to spray for months. The roaches get worse. Then randomly they tell me the pest control guys said my apartment is clear of infestation. I argued with them because I was seeing roaches constantly. It was bad. They got into my microwave. They got into my coffee maker. I legit had a mental breakdown over this. The office wouldn’t budge, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I bought this product and within a day or two, less roaches. Within a week, no roaches at all. I was ecstatic. I felt like I could finally feel comfortable in my apartment and not constantly grossed out and stressed. I did have to throw out my old microwave and coffee maker once I stopped seeing them. Never had an issue with this product leaking or anything. I have two cats who have definitely knocked them around and whatever is inside stays in the casing. They’re pretty easy to hide around your place and no one has ever noticed them. Honestly, best $11 I have ever spent in my life. It’s been a few months, and I’m seeing one every once in a while, so I bought a new set to put down. With how bad it was before, I don’t care if I have to replace these every month, it works fantastic. Is easy to use, you basically just put them around your place, you don’t have to touch anything weird or gross, and it lasts pretty damn long for $11. If you have a bad infestation like I did, it’s probably not going to last 12 months. However, you’re gonna spend way more on professional pest control. I can speak from experience how this stuff works way better than whatever the hell they were spraying and putting in my apartment. If you have a roach problem, buy this. You will not regret it!

I live in a mobile home in a densely populated neighborhood. I've lived here for many years, and every few years (Usually right after a neighbor has moved out) I will suddenly have new "friends" in my kitchen. I control them by placing lots of roach powder and expensive roach baits all over my kitchen, and just waiting for them to die. Usually after a month they're all gone. Then I sweep up the powder and toss the baits several months later. Mind you, it's not a huge infestation. I'll see one roach here, another roach there, maybe another one in the sink the next morning, etc. I've never seen more than one at a time, except for babies. This year, the next door neighbor moved out and the home was remodeled. I knew as soon as I saw cabinets being ripped out and tossed in the yard that I was about to have new dinner guests. Shortly therafter, I found one trying to crawl into the cat's food dish. Then I saw another one on the counter a few days later, then one on the stove the next day, etc., and it became a disgusting game of Roach Roulette every morning when I woke up and turned on the kitchen light. Will there be one in the sink? Under the oven mitt on the counter? Crawling on the cabinet next to the cat food? (I give Roach Roulette 0/5 stars and I would not recommend.) Unfortunately, the baits that I have bought in the past are no longer available on Amazon. Also, while the powder is effective, it's messy and somewhat difficult to apply where i need it to be. I already have enough issues with dust in my kitchen, and it just adds to the issue. So, when I stumbled across these budget-friendly baits, I figured I had nothing to lose except $10 so I gave them a shot. At first I only used about 8 of the baits, thinking I didn't need to use that many since I didn't have many new intruders to get rid of. My friends stopped showing up, and after two weeks I thought I was home free. Then I went to cook dinner and found one crawling through my spice cabinet. Ughhh! So I took everything out of all my cabinets and drawers, cleaned them out, and then put baits in every cabinet and drawer in the kitchen. A few days later, I started seeing baby roaches on my counter next to the sink. I placed a bait next to the sink and waited. I saw them the next morning, too. Then after a few days, I only found dead ones next to the baits. Apparently they treated it like a Golden Corral and it killed them dead before they made it back home. That was three weeks ago and I haven't seen any roaches since. I'm cautiously declaring victory, but I'll update my review if something changes. If you have a minor/mild infestation and you get on top of it quickly, then I think this will work perfectly for you. If you have a big house, or the roaches have moved in their own furniture and and all their in-laws and cousins, then you may need a lot more baits...or professional exterminators.

Has cleared up roach problem in my apartment. Took over a month to almost completely eradicate then but it was a bad problem, and it actually did it. One caveat is that I live in a studio apartment and I deployed all the traps and they emit fumes which set off my COPD after the 1st night. I wrapped up half of them in foil and using 6 was all I ever needed and no breathing problems

These bait stations definitely helped, but they weren’t a quick fix. I noticed the medium-sized roaches were going into the traps, but the tiny baby roaches didn’t seem to crawl inside them. I ended up using these along with a roach gel, and that combination finally got the infestation under control. It took about two months to completely get rid of the roaches, so be patient and stay consistent. I’d recommend using these as part of a treatment plan rather than expecting the bait alone to solve the problem overnight.

I’ve had these for about six months and first they were great. I saw a reduction immediately. Now, though, they’ve figured out that if they go in there, they are going to die. I brought a wicker dresser my neighbor had put outside for garbage pick up. I did not realize at the time that I was also bringing in roaches. I’ve been battling them for the last five years and I just can’t seem to get something that will do the trick. There aren’t as many, but even one is too much for me. It states 10 months of working, I would say more like four months if that in the summer.

First of all, there is no manufacturing date on the box for these, so you don't really know when the years that they are good for is up. Selling rates obviously different at different locations, so this would be a pertinent bit of information to have on the product. My experience in South Central WI, is not great with this product and has disappointed me. My biggest problem area is the bathroom. Every morning I go into the bathroom and turn the light on and think, 'OK, where's the cockroach." It's usually always one per day (or none one day and two the next day). I had been seeing very small ones except about every other week I'd see a full-sized one. Like when I opened the toilet seat lid and a saw a huge, adult cockroach (probably the German-type) and I really had to pee. We had an exterminator come in for the third time in about 2 years. This last time with a combo of three chemicals. It seemed to do no good after a week or so, so I got the Combat product. I put these out and after a week, I stopped seeing one of the very little ones every day, but I started seeing an adult one or mid-sized one every few days though and an adult on the sink area (new area) two days in a row. I had even had the electrical outlet deterrents in place at that point, too. So, the combat bait seemed to help, but not really completely get rid of them which is what I expected since it is supposed to kill the nest. I don't think the electrical outlet deterrent worked at all. The combat nocked them down some. I'm still afraid to make toast in the kitchen. The last two times has caused me to see a lot of cockroaches running about. The first time I was cleaning off my knife after putting peanut butter on my toast and turned back to my plate to see cockroach running up onto my plate with said toast and back off and under the counter. So, unbelievably disgusting and shocking at that point. The last time there were three I saw all at once. One of them was dead in the crumb tray and two were running on different sides of the kitchen counter. I haven't had the stomach to make toast yet, but I may try pretty soon so see how things really are going. I have only seen two in the kitchen other than when making toast (one of those times was actually cr poop deposit I'm pretty sure). I have been able to kill 99% of the cockroaches I have seen. Which does mean that they don't necessarily have a chance to take the poison back to the nest, but I have read that cr can avoid bait houses like this as well. Next plan is to try the Amish boric acid/powdered sugar/flour mix next and put some behind the outlet boxes as I saw on YouTube. Apparently, the exterminator said, puffing boric acid powder where they put their chemicals will create a cement-like compound in those areas. Or, that's BS and they want you to keep paying for them to come for treatments.

So far this stuff seems to be working well... give a few days, and put the whole pack out... all i am finding is one or 2 dead ones. We have them coming in from outside ( i have seen them around our wood pile and even hiding in the edges of our patio slab... we live in a very rural area, trees, grass, fields everywhere, AND THAT IS IN TOWN!) i am on autoship so i can keep them out.

I have been using this product for about a month now. I appreciate a lot that the product is clean and keeps the bait away from small animals and children (we have a cat), as well as just how many baits we get, but the product is otherwise not too effective. We have had the baits sitting around for a while now, and there doesn’t seem to be any less roaches. We even have a roach who runs around the traps every night, but never takes the bait. Other reviews pointed out that the traps should be used with other baits, and I definately agree, these traps only seem to help in extremely mild cases.

Extremely ineffective

I’ve tried sprays before, but they only kill the ones you see. I placed these Combat Small Roach Baits around my kitchen cabinets and behind the fridge. The Results: Effective: Within 3-4 days, I started seeing dead roaches on the floor, which means the bait is working back at the nest. Long-Lasting: I love that these are rated for 12 months. It’s "set it and forget it" protection. Safe Design: The bait is enclosed, so I don't have to worry about messy sprays or my pets getting into it. Verdict: If you have small roaches in your kitchen or bathroom, don't waste time with sprays. These baits are clean, easy to hide, and they actually solve the problem. Great value for a year of peace!

Used it. Worked a treat - but read on..... Done time ago I Started finding roaches around the kitchen. I cleaned extra carefully and tried the lemon and vinegar suggested to keep them away....no joy. Got pest control in. They sprayed and it seemed to work. A week later I found a couple of roaches had moved from kitchen area and were roaming elsewhere. Called in pest control for second treatment. Sprayed more places. Worked for 5/6 weeks but then they were back. Used this product and started finding dead roaches. Called pest control to complain -"they're sometimes in the walls where we can't get at them." I kept finding dead roaches but never live ones. Then they stopped showing up dead or alive. I stupidly threw the bait traps away after a month and a half of no roaches. A month later I find one and kill it. Couple of days later another and that too. Nothing for a bit. But today did a big messy cook up and that attracted 3 that I killed by squashing them. After cooking and a thorough paranoid clean with bleach too I ate and went for a shower. Returned to do the dishes and found another 3 by the dirty dishes in the sink. I'm reordering. And keeping the traps out for the full 12 months.

Took about 3 weeks to completely get rid off the cockroaches. In about 10 days we stopped seeing any female roaches and in 3 weeks all the roaches were terminated. Our infestation was not extreme, however this product seems to be effective in terminating the roaches. Don’t expect instant results.

Our kitchen had been a cockroach haven for years now, and we tried so many products and to keep everything clean with no food particles. But failed. This product killed hundreds per night, and I used only 6 of the pods around the kitchen. Nowadays I do not see any cockroach in and around the kitchen anymore! Superb product but pricey.
