purchased to replace an 8 yr old DVD player. This is simple and works great. seems good value and appreciate the compactness and ease to set up.

The player has a strong case of metal, not plastic, and it hooked up perfectly w the monitor I have. The colors that come through the monitor are very vibrant and a great improvement over my older player. I'm really glad to have purchased this item.

7/3/2022 I really like the player but have a serious issue with the remote interferring with my Pyle audio booster/surround sound & when I use my Pyle remote it sends video player back to the beginning of movies, that was yesterday...today it's random results. 7/7/2022 Update; Contacted Seller about the issue & they sent a new replacement, they contacted me throughout the shipping process to make sure I received the new player, that it worked & if I was happy with the replacement. How could you not like a company that takes care of the customer and backs it's product. I recommend not just for customer service but also playing all regions, formats and the USB is a huge plus AND the price you can't beat. Thank You Maite Team. Update 8/11/22 Player will not play usb-mp4, I reformatted a flash drive 16gb to NTFS and when I try and play movies nothing happens, read instructions again but it didn't work. There are problems with remote too, error messages galore. I am just going to break down and buy a different DVD player. I hope I am the only one with these issues because I thought myself and the manufacturer had the problem resolved.

Works great, reasonable priced

Got this given its region free capability when we needed a new DVD player. The player itself is fine. Picture quality is good. Scales nicely, renders DVDs nicely and brightly to our HDTV and lives up to its region-free billing. The problem is the remote. I hooked everything up and it worked fine. When we went back to use it the next time, a little over a month later, the remote would not work. I tried all the basic troubleshooting tips from Amazon - changing batteries, resetting the DVD player, complete power cycle - but to no avail. There is a QR code on the packaging for technical support, and I tried it to deal with this issue directly with them or deal with this under warranty, but the URL for the manufacturer's general website, maiteco.com, does not open and returns domain errors in a browser. So now we are stuck with a DVD player that is practically unusable, because there are no physical buttons on the front of the player to navigate menus, select options, or skip chapters on the DVD. Given that this is an off brand, I am not even sure that a universal remote will pair with the DVD player. Very disappointed. Update: I eventually was able to communicate with Maite. All the communications were super shady. They offered to replace the remote for free id and only if I was willing to change my review to 4 or 5 stars and send a picture of my updated review. I refused to be bribed. Honestly, I should have reported the whole thing to Amazon, but never got around to it. I got suckered into buying a replacement remote that they sent a link for. instead because I refused to play their review editing game. If I aim it just right, I can sometimes open the setup menu or open the DVD tray, but the remote is so unresponsive after that I can't do anything. The one thing the remote does seem to reliably control for some odd reason is the fan in my living room. I may try my luck with a unversal remote and see if it's any better, but I'm not holding my breath. Steer clear if at all possible.

Amazing! Plays all my DVDs just fine. Region 1 and were especially important to me. So happy with this purchase so far!

Difficulty reading and loading discs. I inserted a VCD and it won't load, but disc loaded fine in my other player. Conclude that disc with minor scratches won't work, or disc rot, while a better machine will play fine. Won't play MP4 files, but possibly just MPEG files instead.
