Catchmaster - Rat Glue Boards - Glue Tray 48R - 2 Pack

So I got these and placed them all the corners I've seen the mouse run before. But no luck for 3-4 days. I thought may be, the mouse did leave the house. Then one evening, I see it coming out of the bedroom and conveniently going around this pad, coz its really not at ground level, it's a half inch thick. So you shouldn't expect the mouse to just jump over it and get caught. But here's the real trick - my husband was looking around the kitchen and found a small gap(well, big enough for forthe mouse) and blocked it so it has no where else to go. But I got this brilliant idea of placing this pad just adjacent to that hole/gap and VOILA! Ten minutes later, there it was caught in inches glue and squeaking after seeing me! It tried to rid itself tirelessly while I waited atleast 30min for the the exterminator to show up. But the glue didn't give up! I'd say this is the best size and quality available out there BUT it's equally important that you place it at at the right places - places places where you know it will try to go to AND with no other way but to cross this glue pad.

I live near a wildlife preserve. We have a terrible rat problem in this condo area. I plant flowers and they are gone in the morning. I needed to catch the rats and not accidentally get squirrels, birds or lizards. I tried many devices unsuccessfully. Rats are smart. They avoided bait houses set out by the exterminator, electrocution "chamber", all forms of rat traps. After reading the reviews, I decided to try the Catchmaster. I ordered 6. I set them out after dark along the foundation and fence. In 6 nights I caught 11 rats, often two on a tray.. I removed the trap and rat as soon as I heard one stuck on the glue. Though I love wildlife, I could not have a rat infestation. The only difficult thing was that the rats do not die quickly. On the other hand, they do not appear to be suffering. They eventually fall asleep and die. For me, this seems a far better death than poison which is painful. I have not hurt one bird, squirrel or lizard. I also keep these traps in my basement storage in case any burrow into that area again. I caught 4 in there as well.

Great glue trap! I caught a 6 inch rat within 1 hour after setting it up and it was stuck GOOD! The smell of the glue smells like a sweet peanut butter cookie and i will buy these instead of the Tomcat glue traps..i have tried both and the rats would smell the glue from the Tomcat traps and would avoid them. They can't resist this sticky peanut butter trap though...great product!

This may work for some people, but did nothing for the Rat problem I had. The Rat completely ignored the trap so I can't even say if the trap would have been strong enough to stop the rat even if it was caught. This was a non-starter for me. BTW the trap was in the garage for about 3 weeks before I removed it. We had to resort to professionals to take care of the problem.

This is my first time writing a review. I just had to write something for it's amazing performance. I had rats in my backyard over 10 years. Tried so many products but all failed and didn't catch even one. I caught one on first day, another on 2nd day. Put 3rd one to see if there's any more and yes, got another one in 3rd day. Put 4th one and got nothing for 3 weeks and I assumed there was no more rat left until my wife claimed she saw one last week. The last one I put out got so old with all kinds of dirt and debris as well as some bugs. It needs fresh one and I was going to order some more. Then, I found another one trapped last night. This thing never go bad and works after a month. I believe I got rid of ALL rats in my backyard. DO BUY this product.

These things are awesome. The rodents in my yard were HUGE. These are big enough and strong enough that there is no escape.

Will not buy again
