Very good product. This is for industrial use and must not buy for measurement of body temperature. You can set brackets of temperature and can easily find out the temperature is above the set value or below the set value. Very useful for technicians and engineers.

Nothing to dislike. It’s an excellent infrared thermometer. Very sturdy. Has a solid feel. The laser pointer helps in aiming, but I wouldn’t allow a child to handle this thermometer as the laser beam could hurt the eye if aimed at the eye. Recording is fast . Conversion from Fahrenheit to Celsius is just very easy. The control buttons are where your thump can reach instantly. ( not like the others where the buttons are on the side. The range of measurement is wide , so very helpful even for purposes other than measuring just body temperature. IMPORTANT: the review by someone who said that they are returning the product because the screen keeps showing just 8888 need to be checked. It’s possible that the person has not peeled off the protective screen guard on the green screen . The screen guard has all the possible LCD panel display printed on it. IT HAS to be removed before you start using the thermometer. So: excellent and useful product Note: human body temperature is best measured under the tongue. What’s being done today is forehead or wrist temperature. It is always lower than the actual body temperature which decides if you are running a fever. So for self use, aim this infrared thermometer below your tongue ( do so by looking at yourself in a mirror) and then check your temperature.

Accurate. It's compared with the contacted digital thermometer and it has given exactly same reading, each time when tested. Rugged / sturdy design. Gripping the device is comfortable. Operating modes are very convenient. Change over from degree Centigrade to degree Fahrenheit is just by clicking one front button. LED light is provided for night viewing. Temperature measurement from long distance is also possible (in front of a furnace / heater / oven). As a whole it's a world class industry grade product from the reputed Stanley company.

The display screen, in a brand new item was defective - displaying a dark 888.8 in the background that masks any reading that is displayed overlaying that and slightly shifted. Some other customer also has had the same problem, which means the error rate for this kind of problem is ridiculously high. For a very reputable brand charging two times of other brands for the same functionality, this level of quality issues means this product is unreliable.

The accuracy is good, but the threshold setting is not working. I don't know why......but the reading is accurate as expected that setting is the only issue so I hold with three star

Long range reading, tested over 2 meters (200 cm) and for every 10 cm there is 1ºC less For example, If i point a hot water of 75ºC, at 10 cm distance, IR Gun will show reading of 74ºC, at 20 cm distance, reading of 73ºC, at 1 meter (100 cm) distance, reading of 65ºC approx This is not accuracy problem because, if the laser travels 100 cm, it'll be reading the air temperature on it's path, longer the distance lower the temperature of target So as general thumb rule, Keep the IR Gun at comfortable distance of 20 to 30 cm (1 feet) while taking reading, If at all you can only take reading from some distance like 2 or 3 meters, adjust the Celsius to above calculation. ------------------------------------------------ ✖ Cons: ------------------------------------------------ 1. The 3 consecutive beeps after releasing the trigger is quite annoying, really sad that there is no option to switch off the beep sound 2. The 2 x AAA battery given along with the unit can be avoided, as I only use rechargeable NiMH Eneloop cells. This is environmentally bad because Alkaline cells are single use as well as economically bad because, the cell cost could had been removed from the product

Item received Good and working well.As the switch off display too has all the characters in full dark display could not see actual readings behind.First sought replacement and got another one but it too same problem.Then sought money refund and Got my money back within a day.But two of the items remained with me and Amazon say it is a non return item so i can keep them.On a study and deeper look i found the instrument screen is sticked with protective transparent paper which is common with all mobiles etc.But here the protective transparent paper is printed with full screen characters and the same is hiding the actual screen display.No where on the pacikng or user guide it is advised to remove the protective screen before using the instrument.This misleading will trouble to all buyers and the seller.Whom to blame.Now i got my money back and two items for free.Am not at fault, am ready to pay for one and return one.But for amazon side the issue is closed. Finally i wish to say the instrument is working good but on the screen protective transparent cellophane printed paper is to be removed before using this.

Plastico un poco de mala calidad pero funciona hace el trabajo

Lo uso per controllare la piastra del fornetto per infornare la pizza e funziona molto bene. L’ho provato in set con le finestre per controllare filtraggi aria, e funziona benissimo. Non funziona con le persone. Consigliato.
