Nostalgic Toy Clock
The kids love it. It is a copy of a clock from the 1960'S . Nice music box plays My Grandfather's Clock, a familiar folk song.

Fisher Price Teaching Clock
The music isn’t loud enough. I know you can’t redo the original music box but this one is very light and not as nice as the very old one.

Brings back memories
This clock is almost like the 40 year old one I have in my attic....my grandson enjoys this as much as his dad did.....and that tune, you just never forget it! I'm glad to see it's still around. Not as heavy as the original as that was wood and this is plastic, but works the same and helps you teach little ones about the time while having fun.

Cute, fun, interactive clock
My one year old daughter loves music and coocoo clocks and was gifted this for her birthday. She loves looking at the clock and listening to the music. It's a great interactice toy that I feel like will grow with her as she learns numbers, telling time, and enjoying the music that it plays!

Blast from the Past
When I was a toddler, I dragged this toy everywhere I went. I was incredibly excited to purchase this version for my fifteen month old son. Unlike the original 1968 model (wood covered in paper lithographs), the frame is now made of red plastic. The vintage pictures are actually various sized stickers on the plastic. The yellow handle at the top of the clock is firmly attached to the clock; I made a point to try to pull it from the clock and was unable to remove it. The clear plastic over the face of the clock is secured to the frame by four screws in each corner. The clock can be wound from the back, and it still plays the original tune, "Grandfather's Clock", which was a folk song written in 1876. On the front, the clock has yellow hands which can be moved with the knob. Like the original, the hour hand moves every time the minute hand makes a revolution manually. It's definitely not precise, but it gives children the idea of what a clock should do. While I don't expect most toys to stand up to the wear and tear of a toddler, I have noticed the stickers are starting to wear away at the edges of the clock base, pediment, and roof after only a month of infrequent use. Overall, I am quite pleased with the clock.

Just as good as the old one.
I loved my old Fisher Price clock and wanted one for my daughter. I tried one of these out in a store and it worked fine. I did not notice that it lacked the tock sound and I think as a mom the tock might drive me crazy. I do love old FP toys and have quite a few in our house. So, I debated getting an old one (they are available in working condition online for those of you who would prefer a vintage one) vs the new one and basically did the easy thing and ordered from Amazon. So far (since Christmas Day) we are pleased. Our children have wound it up over and over and it's fine. The stickers are fine though I'm keeping an eye on them and plan to glue them back down if they're a problem. I've had more trouble with one of my kids peeling off the lithos on my old FP toys. As far as durability goes, the plastic on the current model seems as durable as the "wood" (actually some kind of pressed wood product) on the old ones. Bottom line: hunt down an old model if you want all the features from your childhood but don't feel you are doomed to a bad product if you get this new one.

Bought for my granddaughter and exactly the same as one bought and much loved 30 years earlier for her Aunty. Now both have the same toy as the original is still going strong.

We have one of these Fisher price clocks that we brought for our son almost 40 years ago and it is still working, so when we had a new granddaughter recently we were delighted to find that they are still in production and that we could get one for her. I love the fact that still, after all these years, Fisher Price have stuck with the original tune of "My Grandfathers Clock" A lovely toy/musical item that can be treasured for years.
