Approximately how many  floors is the range?

This will depend on where you live or work. As a general estimate, figure 10 ft/ floor (story). However, some high rises may have a lobby that is 3 stories high. For many high rises, I would say the SkySaver 80 would cover up to 8 floors, the SkySaver 160 (15 floors), and the SkySaver 260 (25 floors). But again, you would need to know the height of each floor in your building (ceiling height + height of materials between stories). SkySaver does not currently have a product that would work above 25 floors to lower you to the ground. I hope this helps answer your question.

Question 3

During a fire can it be sent back up and have a second and third person use the same device? Or does each person have to have their own?

Accepted Answer

Each person has to have their own SkySaver device. This is a one time use only item. It can be sent back to the manufacturer after use to be repacked for a future use, but in an emergency, each person must have their own. Also, only one person can use the device at a time, NOT 2 people coming down together.

can children use this ? what is the minimum sized person it supports . i have a 40lb 4 yr old

There is a kid carrier that attach to it that you can put your 4 years old in it, while you both are repelling down.
