Does the eyelit trim stand up or flop? (if that makes sense?

It flops. I wish it didn't, but it does. The shams are nicely made and the ruffle is beautiful. But it flops.

Is the material still 50/50 cotton and polyester?

These pillow shams are 100% Polyester

How many shams in the king size?

Queen size had two, so I would assume the king size would also have two.

Are these covers a shiny material or matte?

These pillow covers have a matte finish and the fabric on the back is the same finish as on the front. These are very nice covers and they did not skimp on the ruffle.
