Old Skool Xbox Av Cable for The Original Xbox

This cable works great. Not sure what all the fuss is about with people saying it doesn’t look great. I hooked this cable up to my Xbox and the stock cable up to another Xbox and did a side by side comparison in visual quality. There was literally zero difference. I think most people complaining just think they remember their original Xbox games looking better than they actually did. But repairing, and customizing gaming consoles is what I do, and I’ve found no issue with these cables. The issue is fussy gamers expecting more than what was possible to produce at the time out of their machine. As for the people with “broken” or “defective” cables, stop your bitching over a one time buy. Just send it back and they’ll refund you or send you a new one.

I have 14 consoles most of which are RCA connections. I went the route of getting the cheaper hdmi scalers to connect to a flat panel tv and the results are just no good. These classic consoles just simply did not look right or good. And on the NES the light gun does not work on panels. So I said forget this. Found a nice 27” CRT TV for free. They just wanted it out of the house. But, I did not have all the original video cables for some of the systems. This fit the bill. Inexpensive and hooked it into a RCA switcher. Glory! Look just like it should. Many games were made using tricks that took advantage of CRT TV design. Plus modern flat panels just make the games fake looking and the scalers introduce a buzz for a lack of a better word to the image. Now yes there are high end scalers at a couple hundred or more dollars but why? Play the console on the displays they were made for!

thought this cable was the reason my xbox display kept flickering in and out, but it was actually because you had to turn off a video setting on the tv i forget which one

Works very well, highly recommend for old stereo systems. We connected it and everything worked! CD player, tape player, radio, everything!

Got an og xbox from a thrift store but had no cables. Picked this up and it worked !

This fits your old school original Xbox console. I fix up old consoles for a local charity, half of them are missing av cables or power supply. So if I can get a replacement cable for a very old system, it’s the difference between getting it up and running or never getting it back running.

Definitely feels a tad cheap but it’s not expensive and does the trick
