The new upgraded area light is very well designed and has helped me a lot! You can light up your surroundings while picking up screws in a dark place!

How many pounds will it pick up?

I can only say that it will NOT nearly pick up 7 pounds! But have no accurate estimate below that. Hope that helps. S

How to activate the led magnetic pickup tools?

Make sure to check the battery compartment. Check that you have batteries first. Also sometimes there is a ‘tab’ you have to remove so that the batteries make contact.
